T'was a good game between 2nd and 3rd and just the hit out Glenelg needed. Norwood were the best team for 2 1/2 qtrs and had me worried, but to my relief the boys got back into the game and appeared to run out comfortable winners. A great hit out for Sept, like next week will be. Anyone got the crowd from today?

Well if they saw a self-important git setting up audio measuring gear on Williams St, I hope they gave him a few hip-and-shoulders on the way past...

Glenelg were just too good, they certainly exposed* some of the problems with our side. Given the rain we have had the ground was in fantastic condition.

Did Doyle finish the 2s game off? I saw him go down the race in the 3rd quarter of the ressies not sure if it was for injury or not.
Let that be a lesson to you Port, no one beats the Bays five times in a row in a GF and gets away with it!!!

PREPERATION
I get to the backstreet entrance, and yes the Legs players were warming up
They had to jump a 3 foot fence and land on thier footy boots
They also had to avoid landing near the spectators who were lining up to get into the ground
Strange pre game warm up, but it worked as NW played a brilliant first 10 minutes

UMPIRES
The umpiring slightly favoured GL today for the iffy decisions
GL favoured about 8-5 [but would have missed a few]
NW had a good run during a dominating 2nd term, GL had a better run when they dominated in the 2nd half

GAME
Without a shadow of doubt when NW was able to maintain their gameplan in the first half, they dominated GL and controlled the game
GL could only keep possession with short foot passes in the half
When NW tired in the 2nd half for whatever reasons GL thrashed them
GL players were clear too often and had it way too easy
It was the first time this season I have seen NW without intensity in that 2nd half

The NW players would feel relieved Healys boys did the number on WWT

IMO Glenelg are the best team in the comp but for some reason cannot put a four quarter effort together. Great side to watch when they are up and running bit that usually only happens for 30 mins a match and is enough for them to snatch a win

The first half was one the worst halves of footy i have watched in long time, Scrappy continually over using the footy and looking to go backwards or at best sideways

When the bays get there run and carry game happening very difficult to stop. If they can put that together and Toddy Grima kicks the footy so it spins upright rather than in a helicopter fashion they should take out the flag this year .... But in sayin that its a very big IF !!!

Wasnt displeased with our effort, but certainly concerned by our inability to run out the game .. Can't help but feeling we got taken to the cleaners by this years premiers yesterday - Thats not to disrespect the Dogs and I know it's stupid to back against them at this time of year given how incredible they've been for so long, but I reckon the Tigers have a real sense of unfinished business and have exceptional players across all lines.

"UNFINISHED BUSINESS" has been our motivation since pre-season.

WE definately don't need reminding of the past 2 years failures, even though I think it may make some other team's supporters feel better by doing so ;) )

Very impressive performance by the bays after 1/2 time, they killed us around stopages and got so much of the ball .Norwoods defence could only hold up so much and then the dam broke. Definite Premiership favourites from what I saw yesterday.

Who was No 6 for the bays he was in everything?

Unfinished business is indeed powerful motivation. Just ask Geelong in 2009 and dare I say it, St Kilda this year. Oops..off topic GO LEGS.
