I think Kris Grant should do the audits, like Condon did previously.

I reckon our $5k salary cap breach will be chicken feed by comparison...

I'd be amazed if that was true, otr.

It's mid-season and the review covers the whole year, so I don't think it's possible ATM.

When I got told by a good source I thought the amount was staggering and didn't believe the story although no club was mentioned but my source thought it could have been North! However given the rumour / story and the amount was mentioned on radio and as I said Cornesy and Rowey had heard the same thing then there must be something behind it? $75K seems a fair bit to be over however??? I guess we will have to wait and see and also actually confirm the club too?

Can confirm that it is NOT Centrals.

Looks like the chicken feed is costing a lot of money down at North....

I'm just trolling. I've heard nothing by the way and will admit it.

It would make so many people feel good to see Centrals stripped off the premierships. Drag them right back to when everyone was happy to have them as whipping boys.

Well too bad, not happening... this would have been exposed long ago had it been true.

It's not about dragging anyone anywhere. It's about playing by the same rules as every other club has to. Every club has agreed to the terms of the comp and the salary cap so any club that breaks them does so at their own peril. If it happens that the salary cap breach happens in a premiership year and is large enough to warrant a flag being taken away then so be it. The club to do so would only have itself to blame, with every accusing finger pointing forward there are 3 pointing right back.

I don't know who the club is to make this breach (if there is one). I'm sure there are many ways to pay guys extra cash, just look at Visy, Carlton and Judd, a joke in itself. It would seem to me that one way to hide these "payments" would be to count your own gate takings at home games. As an example, if you had a crowd of 6000 to a home game yet your "official" attendance was 4500 that would provide anywhere from $10000 to $15000 that would go unseen, do this over a few games and a few years and you've got a beautiful little invisible nest egg.
But what do I know!

Haven't they (the SANFL) set down what penalties for salary cap breaches would be? I thought penalties include fines and recruitment restrictions. Can it include, premiership points?

Off topic. Did Port Power pay out Mark Williams contract ? I think it's relevant given the SANFL, forwarded/loaned/gave the Power extra funds. If they did pay him out $300,000-++ whatever, the SANFL shouldn't have allowed it. Paying out a coach in excess of one entire SANFL teams salary cap, doesn't sit right.
