I know weather was poor BUT thats only 60 more than watched Central play North under same conditions.

Well, Port aren't winning games, plus they have a team in the AFL. What's Central's excuse?

Yes, I have to admit I'm not sure where they got this figure of 2700 from. It was certainly closer to 5000 than 2700. I've seen other crowds this season that were a lot higher than the reported figure as well. Make me wonder if the method of counting crowd numbers is effective.

Once again happy with the endeavour, except for the 3 goal lapse in the Premiership Quarter.

I know the 1 handball, 1 long kick is "old school" football, but surely in yesterday's conditions that was the game style to play. Especially when there's such a dangerous target in Cameron Cloke to aim for.

Really could have used Matty Lokan in the backlines.

Oh well, a week off to freshen up some sore bodies and I reckon we'll field pretty much a full strength lineup against Westies.

I haven't heard Norwoods club song sung with such gusto since after their trial match this year against Centrals...

Good to be back in the winner's circle and can i just add it was an honor to be asked by the NFC to make the banner for Timmy's 300th SANFL match (even if the last 47 are all that matter ;) )

Yep - quite a possie were there from Sturt, including Damien Squire, Jade Sheedy, Julian Burton, Chris Thredgold, Matt Powell and 3-4 others for whom I couldn't put a name to the face. All kept company by Mark Soderstrom throughout the day.

My theory is that they have 4 Centrals fans keeping count as part of the work for the dole scheme. And the clown who gets asked to count the 000's, doesn't know what comes after 2.

Brian Cunningham tossed the coin
Ironically Steven Summerton got the first kick of the match

PA 160
NW 119
DR 4
Thats since 1907

NW win the $20 k for the Williams Gallagher shindig

James Gallaghers speech
""Thanks to the PAFC for 2 fantastic games this year, lets make sure we are playing you for the next 140 years as well.""

QUESTION
Wonder what the win ratio between the clubs was between 1870 and 1906 ?

Well, I can tell you the tally from 1870 to 1877 was Port 0, Norwood 0 :)

Some more useless trivia
PA 0-3...2-3
NW 0-5..4-5
That was the 1/2 time scoreline
No goals in the 1st qtr
No points in the 2nd qtr
Also NW did not have a centre clearance at 1/4 time ...

BBQ did not run out on the scoreboard side
The free tickets from The Good Guys ran out at 2 of the stores at least
And for about 33% of the time I had my umbrella up in this game

All 4 SANFL games this round had this in common
All teams final points tally added up to an odd number
And off course the winning margins were even amounts
