Disappointing day. Port could have put the result beyond doubt by half way through the third Quarter if they had kicked straight. To South's credit they got their noses in front, but again, like last week faltered in the final 10 minutes.

Young Murphy our best i thought. Gets plenty of the hard ball, just needs to tidy up disposal. O'Keefe and Horne also busy.

Clayton + Meiklejohn Port's best I thought.

Got very very little from our big men/tall forwards around the ground on a perfect day for footy. Cockshell, McKernan and Warren.

Back on the bottom :?

Agreed, Im fuming over this game!!

Very disappointing result. South are alot better side then this.......some players are so out of form but there is no depth in the club to make changes.

It's going to be another long , cold winter ahead for us Southee's once again!!!!

....does it ever really change though???

Just getting on the bandwagon...

Reminiscent of centrals circa 95/96.
Although far fewer ferals, bogans and single mums this time round.

....along with far fewer dollars and far fewer wins.....but nice for anyone wearing black, white and/or teal to see a win of any sort.....

....another weekend out of the way and both clubs can get back to the business of concentrating on who needs the next handout and where to get it from.....

I've only seen them once in the home and away season so far.And on that day it was a typically Ron Fuller coached team .
But it seems like many of the teams above them South don't have the depth available to keep playing in that style.

Cheers am bays :D

I didnt see the game but i think from what i read in the paper, he (Vince) had about 30 possessions and was about 4th or 5th best.

No not at all but did what he had to do.

Must say the res game was a shocker and feel for the supporters that see that week in week out.

Enjoyed the League game and a good game it was. No1 Nicklejohn (sorry for spelling) was very good and wonder why Pt Adelaide Power didnt pick him up BUT picked up Cloke??? very ordinary player to say the least.

Also Pt Adelaide out numbered SA 2 to 1 as for support except when one of the Port cheer squad was escorted from the ground before the game had started.

Happened to catch Fuller on the radio Monday night ; talk about dribble on ad nauseam , he must had been at it hard all day at thoses lovely wineries down South . He was somewhat snakey on the media ridicule regarding their zones and juniors coming through , as the old Pokies are the real ( and only ) winner at South aside from RRRRons bank manager ! The question is has the novelty worn off already for the South members ? :o

Can anyone explain why Matt Rose played in the back pocket for the 1st 3 quarters, he had kicked 10 goal in 3 games up forward and looked awfully lost down there? Went onto the wing then moved forward in the last and kicked a late goal??????????????????

credit to Bernie Vince and the effort he put in the South reserves game and afterwards

a great sports news item on the tele tonight with him being interviewed about playing in that game and the advice he gave to the young lads

he even took the time to have his photo taken with one 15 year old player playing his first reserves game

the young lad was star struck!

Well done Bernie!
