The only way to stop broadcasting North games is play against Norwood every week.

I'd be all for that, I'd prefer the luxury of Friday night games as opposed to ABC televised games anyday.

I can't work out why our next game against the Eagles will not be telecast while the North West game will be!!

The North v West game is isn't in the sticks and they wanted to save on petrol! ;)
Seriously though I agree with you 100%, even as a North supporter I'd rather watch Central v Eagles!

A question for listeners ... for the Central v Eagles game should Big Phil (Central) & myself (Eagles)

a) try our best to both retain a neutral, objective perspective of the game as we commentate it

or

b) drop the pretence and both bring our biased barracker side into the coverage so its PhilH v Big Phil in the commentary box
with poor John Nankivell to sit between us and keep some order.

I suspect professionalism means we will run with a) but b) would be different and probably more entertaining.

thoughts ??????????????

I suggest a real challenge - each of you have to "favour" your opposition team. PhilH to wear red, white and blue and commentate pro-Dogs, Big Phil to wear green and gold and commentate pro-Eagles. That should balance it out and make it interesting to listen to at the same time. ;)

I think everything else is covered on game day though?

Correct...

The main point is though that whilst I agree the 'station spnsor' tag is over the top with RPH, I can assure you they are making a concious effort to limit the frequency of this.

how about a wager on the game and the loser has to wear the winning teams scarf to the next central v eagles game.

As a result of losing this corresponding bet back in 2009, I was actually a financial member of the Eagles last year so I have no problem with that idea.

We'll see how PhilH feels about it?

Round 21 at Woodville is the next time these 2 sides clash, on the 21st of August...

better still they must wear the winning teams Jumper for the next game. So Phil H or Big Phil better get used to wearing a different jumper on that weekend.

BP - how do Life FM and RPH determine which games they will cover? Does one get first pick, and then the other chooses between the remaining games?

SANFL does allocation.

ABC TV gets first pick

There is then some "discussion" between RPH, LifeFM and SANFL re the other matches.

Yes, I found that interesting as well, but obviously you need to take into consideration that Norwood have played a few night games, have they not ?

Don't like the RPH coverage of Norwood games topsy?

I do!
