The Legs are good at the moment, but it's a long way until finals time. My curse......." doing a Bays and peaking way too early " Enjoy your time Legs fans, the Dogs are due to wake up and tear everyone a new one very soon !

I thought that happened last week.

The 'Dogs won't be doing too much "waking up" for a while yet, 24 injured on the league & reserves list. Maybe things will start looking better after the bye.

How much percentage do you think the Blues and Glenelg gained in the past 2 weeks? How do sour grapes taste?

Think you'll find SimonH 'posts on our forum' if you catch my drift AH.

I suspect also that his unique sense of whimsy and subtlety might have lost something in translation to the internet.

Norwood are the real deal for sure. Now they are finally playing the style of game that wins finals and the confidence has returned we will hurt a lot of teams this year.
Our best 21 will worry all teams and we have a good crop of juniors coming through too.

I rate Centrals and Eagles as the ones to beat for the flag.
Very even comp and apart from maybe Port any team could pinch a flag this year ...yes including West and South !

You have to be joking - South pinch a flag??? And to suggest North would be included in your even comp claims is insulting to the rest of the comp!!! North will be battling to finish 8th by seasons end.

Seriously now, the only sides that could contend for the flag are Sturt, Eagles & Centrals. The Bays are falling apart, Norwood, too early but it's only a couple of wins at home in the dark, West not good enough, North.....say no more, South & Port are fighting for the spoon. So far this year, there have been some interesting rtesults but as the year goes on, the cream will rise to the top.

When Dogs fans start behaving themselves you'll be able to see how bright the new lights actually are.

Probably depends on whether we can maintain performances like those of the past fortnight .. Friday night was likely the best footy I've seen us play since the 90's, but there needs to be more performances along those lines and we will certainly face a challenge when our depth is tested this year.

Good signs for the future though and I'm hopeful we're on the right track to developing into a "real deal" outfit.

Actually in the last few years Norwood's better wins have been during the day. It has been the results at Norwood at night that have caused the most pain.
But yes you are right lets see how Norwood perform during the day in the coming months before we start painting the chimney.
Just enjoying it right now.

For the past 2 years I have been saying that Norwood are an emerging threat for a flag and as soon as I do that they collapse and embarass me.

So this year I will wait until September and if they are a top 3 side annouce their arrival as a force in SANFL - that should finish them off for the finals
