Still a long way to go in the season NM and if Ian Callinan stays fit, he will take a lot of votes from Thomo...

I reckon Jimmy Allan at North is more of a chance of getting his 2nd medal than Thomo...

I realise theres a long way to go but Pauls a prolific ball winner, uses the ball always & plays in a side that'll win alot of games.
Thomas & Callinan may repeat what the 2 Port boys did in ????( i don't know what year )
Who knows 23 votes each.

Yeah, I meant the first round against Sturt he stood out so they would quickly know who he was!

I'll cut the field down and say no one from Norwood or Port

Agreed, Norwood's galaxy of stars will all take too many votes off each other.

Puopolo from Norwood would be a rank outsider worth a dollar or two, good early form and has the kind of pace through the midfield umps like.

Andrew Horne has been terrific for South. Averaging 25+ touches, lays plenty of tackles and knows where the goals are. Couple of memorable smothers to deny Norwood late in the Round 2 clash as well 8)

Does anyone know where you can see the odds for the Magarey?

btw, my tip atm is either Gum from Sturt or Ezard from West

Ezard to win by 3 votes from a historic 7 way tie for second (Should make for great TV). Allan, Gum, Sheedy, Thomas, Callinan, Horne & a Glenelg player once they get their shit together.

I'm not sure that Gum stands out to the umps as much as us he does to us folk on the sidelines. How did he poll in the first half of last year? Then again, it wouldn't be the first time North had gifted us a Magarey Medallist ;)

Only commenting on the games I've seen:

> Liddle definitely has 3 votes in Round One IMO.

> It's a 4-way battle between Allan/Alleway/Thring/Gill in Round 2 at Prospect. (Note that Thring only had 16 disposals in this game, but every of of them that I saw oozed class).

> Round 3 at Unley is a toss up between Bode, Gum, Sheedy (10 tackles, but do the umps actually care about this???), Jaensch and McGlone.

> I think Powell, Goldsworthy and Broadbent are in the running for Round 4 at Unley. Jarrad had a lot of the ball but many of his kicks were sideways passes in the backline, which he stuffed up a couple of times...

> Sheedy, Gum, Chambers, Jaensch and McGlone are in the running for Round 5 votes.

Watch out for Jade Sheedy and Luke Crane in the next few rounds.

Gums super tally of 3 kicks against North didn't overly impress me, has as much chance as I do.

I'd like to see the best player in the comp win it.

Callinan's form has been good enough from what i have seen, to suggest he will be around the mark this year.

He is by far the best player in this comp.
