So who is playing in the forward line for the bays and who is playing in the midfield and ruck? Going in without a bench?

12 players vs. 21?
I know north have started the season a bit shaky but surely thats being a bit optimistic by Mickan resting 9 players.

Any truth to the rumour Cranston isn't playing to go to a wedding? Are the Bays that confident that they'll let players leave for a social event?

Wow! If it's true I wish we could be that cocky!

Considering it was organised between Cranny & the club before the Pre-Season, no issue there at all. And why would that be cocky ?

Wow!
I heard there's a couple of good TV shows on Saturday arvo, perhaps they'll release some more players. Must have pencilled in this as an easy win at the start ofthe season but that's fair enough with the amount of success they've endured over the last 20 years!
I'll inform Norths players not to even rock up as it must be a sure bet already!

Jarrod Silvester didn't play for Westies against the Dogs in Round 3 so he could go back to Victoria for a wedding...

Some coaches and clubs may be more flexible than others when it comes to the important social events of their players...

Lucky Im not a coach then, I wouldn't even release a player for his own wedding but Im not up with the sooky sooky la la Generation Y. Luckily I have more to do with Xs and Zs. ;)
Imagine in the 80s:
"Excuse me Mr Nunan, can I have a weekend off to watch a wedding?"
Mr Nunan: "You ******* what?"

Pretty sure it's his Brothers wedding. He's not a full time footballer, so why would the club stop him when it was organised well before the season.

Better hope North never let a player have a game off otherwise you may have a break down.....

Pretty thoughtful brother that one! I wouldn't even consider getting married on a day that inconveniences my friends let alone my family!
Why would I suffer a breakdown? Pretty rude and personal thing to say especially as Id be even more critical of North if they did it as we're very ordinary and even if I did suffer from mental illness Im sure you wouldn't be privvy to that information.

It's not like I follow Carlton! ;)

LOL @ Wedgie.

I dont see a problem with Cranston not playing, if he and the club agreed to this pre-season whats the issue? Really is a matter for the club and the player and nobody else's business.

No one gets upset when a player misses for the birth of a child, a funeral etc. May well be a once in a life time thing for his brother and I would want to be there if i nthe same situation. I highly doubt his future sister-in-law would have changed the date just to fit in with the Bays draw.

Anywho, I tip North by 2 points.
If you want to go quickly, go alone.

If you want to go far, go together.
