West Adelaide sign two players

That's correct, nickname, but I think you could add Ronaldson, although he's played SANFL before, so that might be a factor.

As for balance, we've lost Hassan and possibly Cupido. Hartlett is a returning West player and Nat Caruso is joining his brother. We've hardly lost anyone apart from that.

I dont think we will see much of Matt Loebbe next season.

Rookie draft could hurt us too, with Webb and Ezard strong chances.

Young Morris out for the year with his ACL injury

Add Hassan and Cupido?, that could potentially be 6 of our best 18 from this season gone

Ronaldson has been recruited from country Victoria though R&B so presumably wouldn't come under the import rule. The fact that he's played at State League level before shouldn't come into it, otherwise you could have a situation where a player plays a handful of VFL games, then the next 5 seasons in Wodonga, and he's classified as an import.
The separate issue of whether a player's previous SANFL stint counts towards the import rule is an interesting one.

May not see much of Matt lobbe, but IMO we could see a fair bit of Brad Moran. That will make it Moran and Ronaldson in the ruck, which is pretty handy!

Cupido's position in the side is easily fixed with the 2 classy defenders we have recruited. Plus for the teams sake, and playing as a team and for the team, he will not be a great loss.

morris is a big one as everyone knows! This is where some younger guys can hopefully stand up or the mini draft may help us!

hassan well we didnt have him for the second part of last year and we will cover his loss with Schmidt and Birss being injury free hopefully!

I believe he will have a 2 week trial with the club in the new year and then it will be up to the players/coaching staff/himself if he stays.

from my understanding, the players really dont care if he is not at the club next year! Iv heard he has signed with Gaza (under last years Westies reserves coach) aswell.

that is true holden78, however as you can see with BP's INS and OUTS, i would say that this is the first time in 5/6/7 years that we have not had in excess of 12-15 outs. Having people sign for 2 and 3 years extension is great signs for our club! So we have gone through a fair few in our time, but the change this year has been noticeable IMO and we are definitely on the right track!

Is a 'specticle' a cross between a spectacle and a testicle?

I see Dillon Millard from Barmera is heading to town for a crack as well. Is a very good footballer and is a good chance to get into the team IMO.
So you've seen everything have you?
Yep

Is he Glenn's boy? If so, I think he may have played a Reserves game a year or two ago.

But what the Eagles did was to unload their crap to North (Toia & Schwarze) and recouped a little.

Very true Brodlach .As Ferret pointed out we sold ours to North ;) .Mind u the number 1 recruiter has moved to the Panthers  So we will need to have a look latter in the year to see if the Eagles are better off or not. ;)

My understanding of the rule is that at the end of 2010 whoever is on your list is a 'normal' player, the import rule on includes players you get from the beginnning of the 2011 season.

Your understanding is incorrect. From the start of 2011, any player on your list who was recruited from another State League who has played fewer than 3 seasons in the SANFL is deemed an import.

Also applies to state league palyers recruited from outside your zone. For example Ferguson when he transfers to Glenelg in 2011 (as all decent Westies players do) will be classed as an import for us...
;)
Let that be a lesson to you Port, no one beats the Bays five times in a row in a GF and gets away with it!!!
