As for balance, we've lost Hassan and possibly Cupido. Hartlett is a returning West player and Nat Caruso is joining his brother. We've hardly lost anyone apart from that.

Rookie draft could hurt us too, with Webb and Ezard strong chances.
Young Morris out for the year with his ACL injury
Add Hassan and Cupido?, that could potentially be 6 of our best 18 from this season gone

May not see much of Matt lobbe, but IMO we could see a fair bit of Brad Moran. That will make it Moran and Ronaldson in the ruck, which is pretty handy!
Cupido's position in the side is easily fixed with the 2 classy defenders we have recruited. Plus for the teams sake, and playing as a team and for the team, he will not be a great loss.
morris is a big one as everyone knows! This is where some younger guys can hopefully stand up or the mini draft may help us!
hassan well we didnt have him for the second part of last year and we will cover his loss with Schmidt and Birss being injury free hopefully!

Your understanding is incorrect. From the start of 2011, any player on your list who was recruited from another State League who has played fewer than 3 seasons in the SANFL is deemed an import.

Also applies to state league palyers recruited from outside your zone. For example Ferguson when he transfers to Glenelg in 2011 (as all decent Westies players do) will be classed as an import for us...
