No Ryan Bennett from Westies yet....
Seems funny to say that but Andy Collins talked him up as a potential surprise draft pick this season.
Compared him to a young Jason Dusntall.

A headache as a result of trying and replace them with another player.

As well, there is some sort of payment made by the AFL club. I can't remember the figures for anything, but there is also a payment once the player plays their first League game at AFL level, then another payment if the player reaches 50 games.

The SANFL get the sign on (transfer) fee. The players SANFL club, previous local league, and their junior club get a dividend out of this.

When Adam Cooney & Danny Meyer were drafted, Flagstaff Hill got $2000 for them signing on.
Not sure what SANFL, West/Glenelg and SFL got though. When they get to 100 games we get more $$ but not sure how much.
We also got $1000 from NAB when Adam won Rising Star Weekly Award, and $1200 worth of top class Sherrins when Danny kicked a 9pt goal in the NAB Cup last year.

Just noticed via SANFL Website that Glenelg's Daniel Scott-Collings has nominated as well.
DOB 24/04/1991 -State U18s 2009, Glenelg Premiership Player U18s 2009 and U19s 2008.

Daniel could be called a bit unconventional syle-wise, but can definately read the play and run.
Played a few Reserves games and acquitted himself well.

Hmmmmm Coad from Sturt nominated at (approx.) 26 years of age. Would only do that if there was a very, very good promise made. Agree?

Ooh, meant to say that Jimmy Ezard should get another crack too. Clearly our most talented player this year.

So if Trengove goes as SA's first draftee, who will be next?

Anyone want to have a go at the SA Top 10??

Still a missing Bays player based on draft camp invitees, glad the "media" do their homework....
Let that be a lesson to you Port, no one beats the Bays five times in a row in a GF and gets away with it!!!

As mentioned earlier by another poster, those that nominated for the first time last year are automatically nominated for this year. That is why guys like Daniel Webb, Taite Silverlock, Jono Beech etc. aint on that list.
