Adam Hartlett may have been told he's no longer required at Carlton.

Poor bastard couldn't take a trick. He'd come back from injury, find some form in the B's then BANG ! injure him self again.

Westies may look at him if he doesn't get pciked up in the PSD.

I'll be going to the "have a go" day at North Adelaide.......

Adam Hartlett would be a quality recruit if West are able to get him IMHO. I don't believe it's been ability or work rate that has stopped him at AFL level, more so the fact he is injury prone.
If he was at West and only training 3 times a week that may suit his body better and might find he has a better run with injuries.

I think he could very much turn out like Daniel Schell has since coming back to SANFL level.

Confirmed tonight at Westies B n F that Adam Hartlett rang Andy Collins yesterday off his own back and said if delisted, he wants to play out at westie's as he has a strong will to get further up the ladder.
Tuck is a "wait and see". It is believed he is moving back to Adelaide if no club takes him, because his missus is from Adelaide.
Westies have also signe (and yes signed alredy) the 205 cm ruckman from Coburg tigers. Cant remember his name but obviously been coached by Andy already.
I would love to see Tim Schmidt delisted from Sydney, so he can then add to our midfield depth.

Westies onwards and upwards from here IMO

Would there be a chance Tuck may end up at another SANFL club such as North Adelaide. There wouldn't be too many people still at West from Tuck's time there and he wasn't originally from the club. If North Adelaide sign Salim Hassan as speculated on here could they also make a play for Tuck, who would be the perfect hard at it, inside midfielder that they are after, similar to the way they got Ackland.

This is no slight at North but...

They've picked up a lot of players from other clubs in recent years, or am I misreading this?

I hope Shane gets another AFL chance, but when Richmond have played in Adelaide, Shane has nearly always dropped in at Westies' games. He loves the Bloods, which is where he got his chance to play AFL.

If he goes to North or another club, it definitely won't be for love of their jumper this time. If he's available, West would make the best offer they can under the cap restrictions. If he goes elsewhere, we'll have to draw our own conclusions.

He's a great bloke and would be hugely welcomed at Westies as a player and a person, if he comes back to SA>

I wouldn't take it for granted. He's been gone 6 years and as far as I'm aware never played a senior game for West (happy to be corrected). There are 2 delistees from the Swans alone in the last couple of years, who came back to the SANFL... but not to the club they were tied to before being drafted.

There's a kind of formula: the younger you were drafted, the less you played for your SANFL club before going, and the longer the period away from SA, the less certain it is you'll return to your 'original' club.

No chance Tuck loves westies and is grateful for the opportunities he was given there to make a AFL career. He has always said he will come back if wanted.

I agree with all that, SH, in general and I suspect Tim will stay on the Swans list, or in Sydney.

If he came back to SA, I would think it would be with Westies as Chris Schmidt playing there.
