What are the rules regarding using league players in the reserves team once the league team has been eliminated?

Pretty sure if they played league the week prior they can't play reserves, if they didn't they had to have played a certain percentage in the reserves to qualify.

I believe Glenelg have asked the SANFL for permission for Kellock to play as he was a late inclusion into Glenelgs side last week and has played 95 % of his footy at reserves level this year.

R. Fiacchi and J Wright, if they play, it could be their last game for the Eagles. I don't think they have much to offer the league side anymore.
M. Banner was just an observer last night at training.

very true of macgregor which i think he should have been given permission to play just like what happened with justin brooks several years ago when he was given permission to play, as for kellock he has played a few league games mt ;)

Can't believe we get Deboy in an Eagles vs Glenelg game again. The only umpire I've seen cheat (unless he really is that hopeless...)

In a way I think this is a blessing in disguise for next year as our new coach would have seen who wanted to play for the club today and who didn't. And certainly he would be able to view the tape for next year.

These things turned the game around:

1) Going from 11.7 to 11.14.
2) Glenelg going from 5.10 to 11.10 and most of the goals came from the pockets.

And dare I say it, how many frees in our forward line did we get compared to Glenelg? But as I have always said, you should be able to win without help from the umpires. You don't have as much control over this, certainly when players duck their head. You do have more control over the goalkicking and general play and this is where Glenelg made it their own.

That only goal in the last was a gutsy solo effort by Westbrook - the only other four players within about 30 metres of him were opponents. Perhaps next year we can see him in his best position - the half forward flank.

Well done Micky Godden, Daysie & the boys today. Never gave up and showed massive belief.

McGinty did his back and couldn't play the second half, so Duldig went into the ruck in the second half,
as did Macca, and the two slowest blokes out there had a great game and dragged the Bays back into it...

Richo Richo Man, had a good game as did Grima.

Well done lads, and enjoy it.....
