You f***king beauty sturt just don't know how to kill of those top sides, you f**king beauty, thought we were gone after that disgraceful double goal decision, only room for improvement for the dogs, Havelberg and Nason will be better for the run, Hayes, Slade and Callinan to come back in as well as Symes if the Crows permit, we now have two cracks at a GF, im still pumped and going to continue to sink the rest of the TEDS 5 seeds i have left,

I have already had way to much to drink.

Sturt you make me laugh like Adam Sandler in one of his Happy Maddison productions

Great choke again Sturt. Not even the umps could win it for ya.

GOALS: Havelberg 3 Sansbury C.Gowans 2 L.Westhoff Schell J.Gowans Giles

Just waiting to hear the Sturt fans excuses. No Hayes Callinan Griffen and Slade. Unbelievable performance from the doggies.

JOFFA GILES take a bow.

Congrats James Gowans on your 200th. You are a dead set champion. Do not even think about retiring.

What an inspirational captain Paul Thomas is for the CDFC.

Still waiting for Toddy Grima's comments from last year about the Gowans boys to pop up on there...

Nice work by the umps to get them over the line too. That "in the back" tackle was a disgrace.

i agree that double goal was really there too.......the umpire (a) should have called sharples for running too far regardless of sharples going down like butter. worst decision of all time.

the 'in the back' was exactly what happened....he was pushed in the back.

you are a joke buddy.

Funny thing is i think that decision was the turning point of the game, Centrals seemed to use that as motivation.

I thought the holding the ball decision given against Crane when the ball was already out of bounds was the turning point

What's the lowdown with this post game incident being mentioned?

Sturt supporter attempted to follow the umpires down the race, not sure how close he got.

I'm not talking about the one against Gowans, that was there, I'm talking about the one on the wing and then the 25.

Sharples' free was soft but did the Dogs player need to do it? No.

Gowans said his brother was sh*tting himself having that shot for goal in the last 5 mins. Then said he was looking forward to trying to keep up with the bays next week.

So did you get told what you believe was said, or did you hear it for yourself?

What exactly was disgraceful about it? O'Hara's brain fade? Gee I really hope you're not complaining about the umpires, you should be sending them choccies. More.

Utmost respect for the Dogs (players anyway) - they just keep coming and persevere like no team in recent memory. That said I'm not shattered by the effort the Blues put in today, anyone who claims they choked either didn't see the whole game or are quite delusional. It was one of those fantastic tight games where both teams were in with a shot right to the end and if the quarter didn't go for 31 bleedin' minutes (WTF!) the result would have been different.

And, er, let's not play the 'we had our champions out' card. Chambo, Nelson & McLeay might have been handy inclusions too.

Anyway, well done Dogs. Think the ones with the biggest worries now are the Bays!

Mate he said it to the players after the interview, the cameras were there.

Are you sure you're not MickyJ in disguise??? ;)

Sturt didn't choke ... just one of those games where one team had to lose.

No shame IMO.

10,000 for the day is tad a disappointing I would have thought?

The advertising on the seats was interesting. At first I thought it looked dumb but probably not a bad idea in the end.

Brilliant Doggies! Very proud of a very gutsy win.
Agree O "hara had a stupid brain fade. Can't afford to do that in big games.
Wow, I can't believe how stressful that was. Echo the thoughts of others Thommo, Buckets Gowans * 2, O'sullivan champions.
Loved the call from the guy next to me. "Gowans you're to old to kick that far" before he slotted it through from fifty.
Very proud of team character and effort today :D
Bit late to retract my Sturt by 30 points prdeiction. glad to be wrong.
