At Prospect Oval, the following players were amongst the crowd (that I saw anyway...)

Nick Stevens, Heath Scotland, Richard Hadley, Simon Wiggins, Eddie Betts, Sean Hampson and Brett Thornton...

Apparently, Nick stevens and Heath Scotland were seen in the Doggies rooms at half time...

Thats interesting i couldn't think of any Central players with a connection to Carlton.

Yeah, I was thinking that myself WHUFC, but one of the Centrals statisticians said he saw them in there. The only thing I can think of is maybe Nick is mates with the Gowans' boys from his time in Adelaide with the Power, and Scotland just tagged along for a bit of a look ?

Yeah could be the case. We don't have many players from VIC or who have played in victoria either. Ones that come to mind are Eddie Sansbury, Paul Thomas and Ian Callinan

Nick Stevens brother Danny played at Centrals and Nick hung around with the Centrals boys quite a bit during that time.

fev was at unley because he is good mates with ben nelson, i thought it was amazing when walking from the race back to the playground (across the oval) he only got stopped twice for an autograph & a photo but when back at the playground he was in demand & seemed very happy to accomodate the little & not so little kids

Correct on all points there bayman. He had a good chat with me and I didn't fell like he was trying to escape like you get with some players.

obviously some of these players are mates with a few locals so who in the sanfl are mates with these afl blokes? be interested to know as its probably from when that bloke was on the afl list.

That'd be pretty much the case. When St Kilda played West Coast a few weeks back a few of the St Kilda players were at Lathlain because they're still mates with Matthew Ferguson. There was 8 of the St Kilda blokes at the game and Ferguson said he was going to kick one goal for each of them and did so. Smart arse.
