And apparently, on page 3, Walker is harrassing Wade Thompson. Clearly that's Tony Armstrong.

And how did Matt Thomas get a spot on the league team list? When was he dropped by Port? :?

The budget is printed early in the week, so it is hard for the people to know who is playing when the teams are not yet released.

Its also hard for the budget to get the Eagles seconds players in numerical order as well. And they renamed some like anagrams ;)

Just on player numbers and names, is this the fault of the Football Budget? I don't really know, but I always considered it would be the responsibilty of the clubs to provide that information for publication. Perhaps someone could set me right on this.

Sorry, I was being sarcastic...

I'd have said around the 2,300 - 2,500 mark. Not good form to miss out on a budget 20 mins before the game...

*edit* They actually got 3,000 there yesterday!

I remember as a kid at primary school in the mid 80's, getting boxes of left over budgets delivered to schools for distribution to any kid who wanted one. I wonder what they do with any leftovers these days? I'd like to think they still send them to primary schools in an attempt to build interest in the league...

Maybe, because I've seen a box of them in the changerooms at Woodville before.

I think they (and left over AFL records) are distributed to the clubs and their DO's distribute them to kids as part of their give-aways when they visit schools and run coaching clinics...

Your correct AH
But they had the numbers going to 40 then jumping to 50 then back to 41 to 48(I could have the numbers wrong but u get the picture)
Plus they had a couple of names around the wrong way .Instead of Adelaide Hawk it would be Hawk Adelaide .

So the clubs are innocent this time .

Not quite the same, but reminds me of Noarlunga in 2006, when I got there late and the guy selling Budgets had already taken off with them back to the publishers!

Serves you right for turning up late.

Or did you loose your way down there.
