As much as mister Dog_ger talks tongue in cheek the last two weeks have shown a chink in Centrals armour, falling asleep after 3/4 time. And somehow don't be far enough ahead and the slow looking Eagles suddenly get quick and have run !!
Of course if you run all game like Sturt and the Bays Eagles struggle .
North while they will make finals like my Eagles I am unsure of how far either will go .

don't know about that Jimmy, I think Sturt would have to go in absolute favourites, the last (and only time this year) North played 4 quarters of good footy was last time they played Sturt

North are not gone, will trouble Sturt this week as usual. Possibly walk away with 2 points & be back on track.
Must admit though, that their loss to the Eagles was a good result for the Blues. Gives us a little breathing space as they had a game in hand on us, and we have to play them at their house next week. If they had beaten the Eagles they would be starting to sniff a top 3 place.

Who cares if we beat Sturt this week - cant see it happening myself but stranger things have happened! We are just making up the numbers, our skill level and disposal turnovers would be the worst in the SANFL at present.

I would like to see Healy try a couple of youngsters in the two's to replace a couple of players who are either lazy / too slow / too selfish and in a couple of cases nowhere near fully fit.

Bring on 2010!

Who would you expect to be the team that knocks them out of the 5. Granted they have a tough draw over the coming weeks but there still 2.5 games ahead of West, 3 of Port and Norwood. The Roosters are safe as houses for the top 5 - they might not proceed past the first week of finals but they will play an elimination final at least.

Sturt could well be going into this game without any recognised ruckman - Kurtze went down last week, Bowen this week - or at best only at a fraction of their fitness. We were smashed by North's talls last time and we will really struggle without our rucks, esp Kouta.

on form yes, we should be favs, but lately we havent matched up well on north so will see how it looks later in the week....having limited rucks as another poster points out isnt ideal for us.

however, if we want to be serious this year, we need to beat teams below us, end of story.

And bring back good old Jars , but maybe only to focus on junior development ! It might be difficult though as from what I hear , his work in WA is going along with stunning results ! Not suprising really .

Let me know if you find a bookie who has North as favorites this week.

West by a mile, North smashed, will they fumble their way into 5th? Or will The Bloods , probably deservedly, sneak in?

I'm not holding my breath only saw todays game on TV and wasnt impressed with North, those that went to the game and have come back to my place reckon it was worse today than last week, cant see North gettibg close to the Bays or Centrals in the next 2 weeks, may even sturggle to beat Norwood (on Norths current form) the week after that, West get a couple of wins it may well come down to the North/West game 9on 29/8 at Richmond as to whom gets that 5th spot
