North were disgraceful today. Played like a team hoping to scrape into the Elimination Final.

I thought they played more like a team hopping for a early end to the season, which I dont why still in the mix and most likly to be, some of the players didnt look like they wanted to be there though.
The problem with Barcelona is that I like fish and chips but they had to turn it into calamari and patatas

Marlon Motlop just further confirmed today that he is simply a bludger. He is very talented but he just cheats himself with his ordinary attitude and general laziness. So frustrating. Hopefully the Power pick him again and he stays out of the North side. Last thing North needs is another mentally weak bludger.

I am not blaming Marlon for the loss. I am just making the point that he is cheating himself with his approach to the game. He has talent no doubt (a hell of a lot of it too) but the way he goes about things lets him down. He needs to work harder and play more of a team role. Today he was bludging and let himself and the team down (not Robinson Crusoe there though). I guess he stands out to me more than others because i expect a lot more from a bloke who has so much ability. I know i might sound harsh but he could be so much better if he lifted his workrate and made the effort to do the one percenters.

he is still to grow up footy wise yet. give him a break ffs. i will agree with u that he has a huge amount of ability.itll come, he still is a pup. but to give him a bake and noone else on todays performance is not on IMHO. he wasnt the difference between a win and a loss today. but it seems as ur post resembles that.

well done to (dare i say it) port :-q

He was not the reason we lost rather a contributer to the loss. We can agree on the fact that Marlon has a lot of talent. Unfortunately he is not making the most of his ability. He lairises far too much and he doesn't go when it's his turn. Cocky frontrunner at the moment and if he doesn't change his attitude he will not do a whole lot of worth in his career. I hope he changes soon because he has the ability to be a very good player. Get a hard ball Marlon!

well regardless of 1 player , north continue to be north. when it looks like we are going somewhere, the last 2 weeks are north being north. if we were 2/9 , its where we win the last 2. but come to the crunch to stamp ourselves on the comp, we fail. north being north continues.

how do you then explain the fact we had more shots on goal than them, & a lot of those shots were from 40-50m under no pressure?
Port's accuracy meant they were very efficient in winning.

Can't argue with that too much. First quarter North easily had the better of the umpiring. After that it evened out but at the end of the day Port deserved to win and did. Port have had their fair share of umpiring help over the years though particularly a number 11 who was never able to make the step up to the next level.

Stick this up your arse too Rucci.

Two Port teams played today. Both got well beaten in the first quarter...

One came out after quarter time and showed commitment and courage. The other served up the same shite as usual...

You decide which one is the real Port Adelaide.

I know I have.

LMAO, one played North Adelaide the other played Geelong. You could argue that getting within 6 goals of Geelong is a better effort than knocking off a very very lacklustre North. Either way Port is shit at both levels as are my sides.

Was pretty good without starring, tucked the ball under the arm and went for a couple of nice runs along the outer wing.

I only got there at 1/2 time after watching my son's U16's belt Portland

My 2 cents worth on North today:

Undisciplined
Loose
Flat footed
Inaccurate
Lacked intensity
Lacked desire

Not what I'd expect from a side sitting in the top 5 that before yesterday was pushing for a top 3 spot, very dissapointing, typical North @ Sunday games over the past few years  .

And once again, for the second week in a row, the League side won, the Reserves won. And the Port Adelaide U18s beat North by 20 GOALS!
