Re Farmer: did he spend any significant time on the bench, or on the ground for most of the match?

Those stats don't look great, but obviously playing with new teammates wouldn't make things easy for him.

Without seeing every interchange, I would say he spent a more time on the field than he did on the bench. Just a part of the on ball rotation that comes off for 3 or 4 minute spells and then straight back out there. At a guess, I would say Mitch probably spent 80% game time actually on the playing field.

Had a couple of good 5 minute periods, but faded out for too long a period throughout the day.

Couldn't have said it better myself

Good to see the ressies have a win against a decent team. Looks as though Handby has settled back into the league team well. Warren didn't get a sniff it seems?

Mr Butterworth, Mitch is having a pretty good year, certainly earning his spot each week. Would feature in the top 5 of the B+F at this stage of the season imo.

10 losses in a row for the SAFC, irrespective of how well the side may have improved or be claimed to be improving its still the same old story,

Still I will reserve my judgement of course, having played a current top SANFL side, lets see how we go against Westies who were the last side we beat in round one, then I think its a fair call to see if we really have "improved" or not!

Thanks Sam & LBT good to see recognition given to our vastly improved facilities from opposition supporters who now see the trip to Noarlunga as good value. The club is on the right track after some indecision about facilities and recruiting over recent years with the foundations now being set in place for many good years to come.

The atmosphere used to be non-existent but its now actually quite good, with people having the option of siting in their cars instead of out in the cold, the crowds must be steadily going up, obviously a few on field results would also help this.
The Jimmy Deanes Clubroom area is just fantastic, the place is just unrecognisable since i last went in there a couple years ago, I would have to say with the exception of Grand Central, South Adelaide's clubrooms are the best going around, the Honour boards, and pictures up and around the staircase was fantastic, a good way to spend half time.
The people running the show down there obviously know what they are doing, a big well done.

100% agree. Very impressive.

I agree with all the praise in regards to the off-field set up down at Noarlunga and the all round entertainment value from a family perspective...

As a little side note, I was very also very pleased to see that when I arrived at 10.45am I could get myself a bacon and egg sandwhich for breakfast.

If they can just get the onfield performance to lift significantly, the Panthers would be a huge success down South I reckon...

Clearly, that is not what I meant guys, how will the Panthers become successful because they serve bacon and egg sandwhiches, seriously

I just highlighted it as an interesting side note, as far as I'm aware, they are the only ground to do this and I am suggesting it is a good thing for those that get to games nice and early.

I do think south have really improved the venue, it is a shame that they dont have a stand on the wing rather than on the HFF but other than this. The elevated mound is great and very good for attmosphere and food and drink in good supply. As for the bar, it has a great feel to it, Felicty behind the bar isn't to bad either. The family area is great and the play ground helps a lot. On a cold wet day the comfort of the car can be appreciated.

Probably my favourite ground to go to now for everything other than watching the football. With my old eyes I just struggle to find a spot I like to watch football from. It would be interesting what it would cost to put about 5 rows of seats on top of the veranda.

Big Phil,

Just reading through the preview thread and I notice that UK Fan and yourself are having a bit of a brouhaha.
You are unsure as to why UKF has an issue with you and would like to know so you can understand what his deal is.

I would suggest that your posts lack a certain amount of brevity (which is not a positive in the media). In attempting to post everything you know on a subject and covering every possible base, you come across as big noting yourself (hence his nickname for you). You also seem to throw in a lot of names when you post, which to some may appear to be name dropping. You also present your opinion as fact, when sometimes it may not be.

Reading between the lines, this is what I would suggest UKF's issues with you are. UKF hasn't confirmed this with me and, of course, I'm not saying that this is what I think, just relaying what I've read into his posts to you.

Now that I've been able to identify why he calls you Big Note, I'm curious, what do you mean when you call him UKFW?
