Good player for Sturt over the years, played well in the seniors last year when he got the chance, especially against Port at Alberton, just for the knucklehead that abused him and failed to look in a mirror, talk a bout a flat-nosed-no-neck! Good luck Thringy! Go you Blues!

wedgie, i think you mean DARREN Burton ;)

Damn you Jimmy, whatever his name was I was trying to put him out of my mind. Shocking recruit that one who waltzed straight into our league team thanks to a deal Harty made.
Let us never speak of his name again.
We've got the wrong end of the stick with Sturt and recruiting for a while. Except for Scotty Sutherland and Klompy its been like the Groom\McLeod trade several times over!
Let's hope Thringy is another exception!

Thring played a few games last year and was there abouts but limited oppurtunity this year has seen him move on.

Good luck to him @ the roosters !!!

Sturt seem to be losing a few players at present to other SANFL sides, Westies recently picked up another Sturt player into their side (cant remember his name offhand). No doubt Sturt can manage without them, yet it does reduce the depth of the side which is one off the current strengths at the SFC.

if we lose 5 more, then its an issue, now its the norm with the depth we are graced with....

kinal and borholm are at west, thring at north...who is the other one gone to west?

Kieran Flanigan, who wasn't getting a game with the Reserves, so you could hardly say that was affecting their depth. This will always happen at strong clubs and it's rarely a problem. Centrals seemed to cope okay after losing guys like Coulter, Prokopec etc.
And considering the number of first-choice players Sturt lost at the end of last season, their performances this year have been unbelievable, so it seems they can afford to lose some fringe players.

You can add Walton x 2, Kreig, McLean, Cook, Gogoll, Stevens, Vivian, Hamblin, Bajic, Gatto etc etc to that list...

Thring can certainly kick a goal , very skilful and will play league at North. The issue of Farmer I believe is a non issue. Power happy with him at Sturt and apparantly next off the rank to play league at Sturt if any injuries or poor form (not named this week though in weither side so maybe injured) Interesting that Scot Sutherland was rated though ?

That certainly won't be a surprise given recent Power listed player movements when they're playing 2's football.
