It occurred to me that Port have recruited some big names the last few years that have either turned out to be absoulute duds or simply have not hung around. Morrison from Brisbane, Baird, le Cras etc to stiffen up their spine but they have gone. Now their forward line is workmanlike at best and midfield lacks quality.
In the quality Sunday Mail it was rumoured that one SANFL club tried to borrow more money against the value of their pokie venue to ease their cash flow crisis but to no avail. I wonder if they were referring to Port Magpies?

Amazing deflection.

Players shouldnt be the ones saying that they have had enough. They need to go home and look in the mirror. 3 players letting them down big time at the moment Perkins, Perry and Barham.

Perry out for Erskine
Barham out for Walker
Perkins out for Wiles/Clinch/Moody

LOL, Constance and Barto look like getting the chocolates this week.

Maybe Bomber Clifford's a chance to take over?

He might be able to settle everyone down ... last time I saw him at a function a couple of years ago, he was out the back smoking hooch.

Ports reserves were beaten by 103pts on the weekend, are people going to jump all over coach Mark Tylor in the same way as Ginever?

Word from a close mate of mine who spoke directly to a family member, is that Tim has told them he would step aside immediately if he was asked.

If yesterday's game was anything to go by, I personally don't think they're that bad - was really only 3rd quarter that stood out for us - but there are 4 or 5 players that don't seem to be up to it and there doesn't seem to be much depth there at the moment.

Regarding Barham, thought he played well below par at Central during his stint on Power rookie list a few years back so I'm surprised Port were interested in him - maybe they thought he'd matured with time.

If he's asked to go he'd hardly have a choice to do anything but step aside.

Not necessarily if he has a contract in place, not that it will matter, Im sure you'll find something else to shoot him about ;)

I don't want to shoot any Port blokes. Maybe just a gentle tar and feathering.

If the players are DOGGING IT, they are following their Master. Promote this DOG coach to the Port Power. his dummy is still on the floor after not being on their original list, despite wearing their guernsey in the media unveiling. WOOF WOOF

Pay his contract out & Sack him, can't be any more than $2 a week if performance based?

As much as I am not a port fan, I would hate to see an SANFL club go broke - It wouldnt be an SANFL without Port be they successful or fairing poorly.

The AFL want the SANFL clubs to give bail out the power by giving them better stadium deals - I havent seen the AFL significantly increase player draft allowances to SANFL clubs with the massive TV revenue increases. Perhaps if they were to treble the AFL Draft fees, the SANFL clubs might have an incentive to develop more juniors. The Power and Crows dont spend money on zones for player development. We need to keep all SANFL clubs rather than lose football supporters to other codes. No - leave the Real Port alone - Its the Power which is the problem for all SANFL clubs - especially the Magpies who lost almost everything to them

If the players are indeed "dogging" it, then I would suggest keeping away from the carparks at Alberton Oval....

leh, you say there should be no port in the sanfl WRONG because who the hell do we 'hate' (in a sporting sense of the word) if they aren't there ? i pray to see glenelg beat port in a grand final (day) & even after all their successes i know a lot of central supporters that want to see them beat port in a grand final as well.......whatever we think of port surely 98% of the football population want them there so we can beat them as beating port anywhere is still great

as for tim well i'm sure he'll be gone next year but port sacking coaches during the season doesn't happen & can they afford to sack him & pay him out ?

perhaps blokes like booney, no mercy, macca etc can shed more light on it
i thought secret groups were a thing of the past, well not on websites anyway
