Even if you drop a weight class, you're still punching against someone in the same class as yourself. So why is a premiership less "credible"?
It's probably a little less prestigious thanks to the overwhelming focus on the AFL, but each premiership means as much to a true supporter as it did thirty years ago.
This argument is purely based on ones own perception. For mine, the flags won in the 70's and 80's were against much tougher opposition. I totally agree with your "weight division" comment, totally agree. There is no right or wrong answer to this and both sides have strong cases to argue,I just side with post 1990 not being the same,thats all.
