Mate, life and football doesn't always work that way. Get over it and tell the kid to just keep getting kicks and being a team player - he will get noticed.
Trust me there are lots of SANFL footballers making greater sacrifices than that with no recognition.
Why on earth does it matter how many goals he kicked? Maybe, just maybe, they thought he was selfish.
At 19 years of age football, let alone the SANFL & Norwood, owes him nothing.

That is an insult to the kid to say he is selfish because i have seen some games and he hands off more than he get. I heard from a friend that he pays his own way just to play for norwood. the fact norwood don't owe him anything because they gave him a chance to play and all I said it just needs a mention congrats for their efforts and commitment and some people like to know these things because again it is achievement for the kid in that situation.
