Not if you're listening online. The 5aa site has it's repeating message refering you to the AFL site...AFL site didn't stream the 5aa coverage   . Hope the 5aa site will be back to normal in time for the SANFL Show.

JAS

5aa aren't allowed to stream when they are broadcasting an AFL match, they didn't spring enough cash to the AFL for that. Once the coverage finishes, they flick the switch once more.

They would like to but can't under the agreement. SEN get the early and twighlight game on a Sunday and 3AW get the 2pm game. 5AA can't take the SEN call so don't get the game. The only twilight games they get are Crows / Power when they call or a game in Perth when they can take the 6PR call.

Thanks Phil...but any idea why it's only the first 35 minutes and not the whole show.

No worries Phil. I've sent an email to someone at 5aa asking about it. He's been very good at responding in the past. I know they've had technical probs with the downloads in the past so might not be able to get the whole show but doesn't hurt to ask...I hope

John from Christies Beach, I commend you on your call to 5AA tonight to suggest KG and Cornesy give more focus to the SANFL, but mate, you backed down far too easily.

KG went the standard response "we're doing a show on Sunday Nights" and "we interviewed Clay Sampson the other night" but I reakon 5AA could be a lot more active with SANFL coverage. The "Where are they now?" segment is fantastic.

Why doesn't the show have a regular weekly stint, outside of the Sunday Night show, like Mahatma Cote (which is on RIGHT now), where KG and Cornesy speak with an SANFL expert each week? This person could discuss the full range of matches in a very brief interview, and arrange for a player or two each week to be interviewed by the guys.

Anyway, I listen to the KG and Cornesy show EVERY night without fail, and I'll continue to do so, but I just think the show would increase its listening audience significantly by committing an extra 10-15 minutes a week to SANFL content.

Still, until the Sunday Night footy show, we had little on 5AA. Perhaps that is the just the start...

Agree TB it would be great to have a weekly spot in addition to the sunday show. I'm not the biggest KG and Thingy fan but do enjoy the 'Where are they now' spot (Macca was the best so far...not that I'm biased  ) and the occassional interview with a SANFL personality but would love to hear more.

I would think that if they do consider more SANFL coverage it would depend on the listening figures/ratings for the Sunday Show. The more popular that is the happier they'll be and the advertisers therefore the better the chance of more coverage. So the more people that send them positive feed-back by email or phone the better. What's great at the moment is that they didn't try to poach listeners from RPH/LifeFM by having the show clash with others so we are not forced to choose and can listen to all of them. I know the downloads help with that too but still good to see that there's room for all the coverage.

Can never get too much SANFL
