Booney, what happened to the integrity of the successful "One Club" proposal that said "Port Magpies will never be used as a Power Reserves team"?
Not only are they bull sh!tting the public and the SANFL but also their supporters and members.....and they lap it up! Idiots.

WOW, a Sturt supporter complaining about a side loaded up with AFL players. Now I've read everything!

Yeah fancy that! At least when we've had AFL players at Sturt every other club was playing under the same rules. Port Magpies won't be. Get it?

Port Adelaide Football Club chairman David Koch said the AFL club would abandon its push for a reserves team in the SANFL if it would cause the end of the Magpies in the state league.

Koch made the club's view clear at the SANFL Chairman's lunch at Football Park in Adelaide.

He said Port was not prepared to give up its SANFL reserves, under-age teams and recruiting zones.

Koch said if the proposal was rejected, the club would keep the status quo.

The Adelaide Crows also have been putting a case to the SANFL to have a reserves side in that competition.

Is this the 2013 version or the 2015 version?

My thought is that it's easy for Port to sit back and rest on its laurels here.
Great strategic move. "It's not really us that wants to change the SANFL further to its detriment, it's Adelaide."
The ball is rolling and it ain't going to stop just because Port has made this public statement.
Adelaide isn't going to stop its campaign. Port may eventually get what it wants by riding on Adelaide's coat-tails.
A very clever move by Port Adelaide.

Maybe they realise how ridiculous their spin is to maintain that Port Magpies are still Port Magpies even though they're actually Power reserves.

Nice work mate. It was someone very similar to you that didn't go to a Power game to hold my flag and scarf on the Rooster Rally in 2003 so I could hold onto my 4yo boy at the time. I think I can speak for most true SANFL fans in that we wish things could work out your way but its a shame things are panning out the way they are and screwing the real Port fans that are left. Keep up the fight mate.

Port aren't fooling anyone ... they will try to get their outcome by 'stealth', just like they have started to do this year by shifting players on their AFL list to the Magpies from other SANFL clubs.

If they continue that ploy, which no doubt they will, then they get the outcome they want anyway as the other SANFL clubs won't be bothered dealing with Port AFL listed players anymore.

Shame on them for using the Magpies as the emotional trojan horse ... I feel for the real magpie supporters who haven't succumbed to their AFL parasite big brother.

Whilst I don't agree with the Power's proposal, the Crows' would be more detrimental to the league I feel and has far more holes in it. Shame we don't have any pro-crows posters on this thread. ;)

Are your serious? because i don't agree with your point of views i'm not a loyal and true port supporter, and i'm a bandwagon supporter. get a grip wedgie or better yet get your hand off it. I've held my memberships for a very long time and thats with the magpies and the power. Yeh I might not get to too many games but I have always bought my memberships, even when I was living in WA I still bought my membership. I am loyal always have been always will be. I will back my club in what ever they do because that's what a loyal supporter does. Not run and have a cry because something happened they didn't like.

It is a positive move, why dont they give a vote to all Port members and see what the outcome is?
Very interesting to hear Kochies comments that he will not let the Magpies fold, he would rather the Power take their reserves to a differant comp if that was the only outcome.
Tredrea went to the lunch today and said the overwhelming support is for a No vote.
Id be very happy for status quo and the AFL sides piss their Ressies off to another comp
