Geez Port look to have some serious firepower up forward this year, firepower that could be near unstoppable if they get their Mojo on at the same time .. I really can't see too many defences holding all of Wilson, Cockshell, Mercer and Harder - Gonna need to hope we can stop them in the middle.

And Josh Thurgood plays a good lead up half forward and generally needs a tall defender to match up on him...

I reckon its a genuine question that applies particuarly to Port, North, Glenelg and South. How well they go will be dictated by how well they can cover injuries through the season. Central Eagles and Norwood are OK for depth IMO, but the next four teams success or lack there of will be dependant on players 18-25 stepping up and playing good league footy.
Let that be a lesson to you Port, no one beats the Bays five times in a row in a GF and gets away with it!!!

Very valid point but you have to be very lucky to keep all your best key players on the park for weeks on end. From North's perspective the late loss of Gill will hurt and already 2 other fwd options are under an injury cloud, Miles who broke his hand last Friday night and Alleway coming off pre-season foot surgery will have a massive impact if they cannot play week in week out.
Piss weak SANFL and the CLOWNS who run it.

Exactly with their best sides on paper on the park each week every club is a genuine finals chance this year but that never happens. In my experience each club has on aveage 6-8 players unavailable each week across the senior squad. How well clubs can cover those players especially if one or two of those players are in the clubs top 10 players dictates how well you go in the season. Depth is key.

Maggies wasted plenty of opportunities inside 50 and should have won by a lot more. Wilson could have had another bag but ended us with 3.6 due to poor conversion. Maggies will be big improvers for sure and Central will have some quality coming back into their side.
