HANDS OFF THE SANFL!!!

SANFL guys have a 7 day a week committment to their footy, and maintain full time jobs.
Support staff, stats people & Trainers are all volunteers. Canteens & BBQs are all run by volunteers.
In AFL circles these people are all paid.
Even the paid staff at SANFL clubs work way above and beyond the hours they are actually paid for.
SANFL clubs run efficiently now though people's love for their club.
AFL clubs are run as a business. If they weren't paid, I reckon most of them wouldn't be there.

I think Coopers Stadium is an exception to this rule - using the same outsourcing mob AAMI Stadium use, not sure if that's organised by the club or the council given the other sports that are played at the ground in summer.

"Must be due for a mid-season review Jai and a preview for the second half of the minor round leading up to finals. Could be just the tonic to dust off the "Writer's Roundtable" in 2011. Discussion points could include recruits of the year; umpiring performances to date; why SANFL crowds continue to grow at the expense of AFL crowds; whether Luke Norman and Mark Mickan will be coaching their current teams in 2012; and whether the proposed SANFL protest march being organised by a Glenelg and an Eagles supporter can draw 1,000+ people. "

The reason for the posting here, is despite numerous articles posted by a "journalist" advocating the merit of AFL teams having a reserves team in the SANFL, this WA decision has not yet been mentioned. Nor was Neil Craig's (negative) view on a reserves team, or any contrary attempted postings. I'm hoping as this is pertinent to local footy, it may get past the censors on the localfooty site. Same here....I asked Cambridge Clarrie to find some for me but he did not come up with the goods.

Probably did not even go into the ground and saved his coin watching it at the bowls club!!!

The first set were paid for by a CDFC supporter, I understand an Eagles supporter has ordered a second batch....note, this is all driven by supporters, the club(s) are not involved (far too lazy I imagine )......

2. Why has the AFL told a local radio station with a 5 and 2 A's in it's name not to mention anything about an "anti-AFL campaign" (they can't even get that right) being run in SA ?

I've posted 2 in the last few weeks, neither have gone up. I've been careful not to swear or defame anyone. I have however read quite a few that have been put up that were scathing of Rucci, the AFL or pro SANFL. I don't know what to make of it.
