One of many places they need to recruit!

They have a 203cm WA ruckman committed to club but as yet, have not released his details to the public. I would suggest there would be a clause with the player in question in relation to him being drafted into the AFL so they will have to wait until after the draft to announc him or not.

The 204cm ruckman from the WAFL that the Panthers had signed, but not released his name, is now staying in WA.

It turns out he he didn't realise he was still contracted to his WAFL club for season 2010 and South were not willing to pay the fee to get the player over to Adelaide for 2010.

I beleive it was either Josh Krueger or Michael Griffiths, both former Glenelg players.

Must have been Griffiths (the only 203+cm ruckman in the WAFL) . Krueger is 196cm and is more of a KPP. I don't think they're missing out on much; Griffiths played a fair chunk of the year in East Fremantle's ressies

Yep lets look at this bloke's form, 2005 (IIRC) playes most of the year in Glenelg's twos cracks the sads and moves to WA for $$$, 2009 plays most of the years in the twos at East Freo so wants to move back to SA for $$$$. Interesting he chooses South obviously thinks its easy to get a league game there.

I think the bread may have fallen butter side up for South here....
Let that be a lesson to you Port, no one beats the Bays five times in a row in a GF and gets away with it!!!

Played for PHOS last year and was named div 2 ruckman in the TOTY.

Micky has coached him at Westies in the Ressies a few years back. Will be interesting to see if he can make it to the league level or not.

Definitely has talent but I dont believe he wants to do the hard work Andy Collins expected from him. Hopefully thats changed and he makes it at the eagles.

The lad haa some talent from what I saw of him in a few ressies games for the Bloods...

Works at City Holden and services my car, is a good size lad, may be better suited to a KPP...

Definitely a ruckman who could probably pinch hit up forward but not be there all the time.

He's a nephew of Lee is he not Cover king .
Kind of coming home I guess.

Nephew of Lee. Son of Brett (played some ressies). Judd actually tried out for development and U/17s with the eagles, as he is in the zone just (lives in torrensville). He was told he was not wanted, came to westies and got extremely fit, and played a year and a half of ressies with the Bloods.
so not only coming home with the family ties, but he actually supported them as a kid aswell and wanted to play for them to start with! Hopefully will blossom there. Great work ethic, very fit. Just lacks the kicking skills, but has the smarts IMO

He has the work ethic. there is no question about that. Andy just told him to put on weight (as he was to skinny) and then told him he was too fat  dont know wat he was seeing. For mine, he got this one wrong.

IMO definitely not a player capable of being a KPP. Iv played a lot of footy with him, and the ruck is wat he knows and where he can only play. He can play at FF just to take a defender, but thats about it ...

Great news. Great to see Dexter at the B&F too, he still looks like he's at his playing weight.

I'm interested to find out what Glenelg supporters believe is the reason for so many players supposeably leaving the club after a relatively successful past 2 years (through all grades) at the club.

Lost or almost certainly lost is - McConnell, Fisher, Holmes, Block, Cranston, Sugars, Leibelt, Fosdike and Day... along with major question marks over Backwell, Duldig, Hinge, Alex Grima and finally uncertainty about where Richard Douglas will play his SANFL footy next year.

Thats 14 players from 42... quite a few. I know the standard line of "injury, more $$'s in the country/local leagues etc.

Whats going on at the Bay?

although in saying that Shane Valenti looks likely to be at Brighton rd and Scott Welsh is a big chance.

Wouldnt mind having a few of those guys at City Mazda Stadium next year if they are so disillusioned down the bay.

So at this stage, it is between Westies and Glenelg as to where he goes ? I reckon he'll end up at the Bay
