If he goes it is because Port want him played as a defender and North refuse. Has been mentioned in several of their SANFL reports on the club website.

Similar to McKernan and Dowdell I guess.

Port obviously haven't seen what he is like playing in defence, where North played him for most of the last year. Wasn't until he was moved onto the wing that he actually became a contributor at North.

No, no. Port know best, it's proven through their great work in developing Butcher at the Nagpies. Proven beyond doubt!

Isn't Daniel Healy in charge of "player development"?

No fuss if Blee goes. He wouldn't be released to play at North if we make finals anyway.

Maybe he could play Centre with Newton

Don't they have to offer him to South first? :D

Cant see them doing this - it undermines the reserves argument even more ALTHOUGH that might be a good thing.

I'd say South, North, Centrals ad West will be even stronger in their NO vote should they do it again

No - completely different as South were happy to move them!

If the Power move him to the Magpies then they may as well take all their players and put them into the Magpies. It is making a total mockery of the one club agreements and is taking the piss out of the 8 other SANFL Clubs

With North's defensive injuries Blee is likely to have to play back this week at least. He was bordering on useless in defence last year so it just goes to show how ******* useless Healy is an observer and development coach if he can't see that Blee has actualy improved playing wing / midfield!

You mean apart from the fact Port Adelaide are the ones paying him.

It's not up to North Adelaide to decide whether Blee can play in Defence, it's up to Port Adelaide.

Same goes for Danny Butcher, who the PAFC wanted to find out whether he can in fact play at all. Guess what, he's cemented his spot in a winning Port Adelaide League side.

They're happy, he's happy.

no it's making the other 8 clubs look stupid for not putting anything in place to stop them from doing it.

OTR is like a broken record on an old HMV. Wind him up and it's the same song over and over and over........

And yet removing the Magpies compromises the competition. Unless that version of compromise is OK?

What did I write last night?

Oh that's right, hypocrites.

Well hopefully South, Sturt or Glenelg pick him up. Maybe North could say skip the transfer fee so Sturt can grab him.

Doesn't matter. Liverpool doesn't have a say when its players are loaned to another club, as an example. The loan process seems to work in the game played right across the world. All AFL players in the SANFL are essentially on loan, so why do the Crows and Power have to get what they want?
