Shocking luck, think he would have played a fair few games for the Crows this year.
Trust the process.

x 3, what a stupid uneducated thing to say. where talking about a guy who 27 year old AFL dream was a bout 20 days from being reconised. he will be back. they think he could be back in 4 weeks but could still be 10. if its 4 weeks he will probably on miss the first two rounds of SANFL

Join me to the list of those that find Callinan's injury very disappointing .. As one of the premier SANFL players I was really keen to see how he would go at AFL level, and was (still am) confident he would acquit himself very well.

Hope he's on the mend quickly enough to still get back in time to give himself a real shot at an AFL career.

Add my name to that list CP, well said.

Whenever Norwood played Centrals in the past couple of years that we have been competitive with them, it was always Callinan that was the difference,
if he got the ball it was a goal to Centrals.

The SANFL's most damaging player, and thus far has shown he can and will play at a high level of contribution in the AFL

Yes, me too.

I'm disappointed he won't line up early for the Crows, as it would have been a great reward for persistence and believing in yourself.

He's put in a lot of hard work, with plenty of disappointment along the way, so I hope he gets back and does well.

Cheering about a serious injury to any player says more about the poster than anything else.

well said Guys. I think it's a setback for callinan but not the end of the world. I guess the positive is it happened early in the season and he should be back at some stage early/mid-season. Assuming he has no hiccups thru out his recovery.

I have no doubt he can play at the highest level . I'm sure once fit he will be back in contention for upgrade/selection. Now with Brodie martins injury he has the possibility of being upgraded to a senior list is another positive.

Martin is only 2 weeks , a strain basically sohe won't be taking his spot . Unless of course you know what lies ahead ?

Great shame he has the injury but on radio tonight Neil Craig said he still has an opportunity and can play at AFL level so I hope he gets a chance. Could be 4 weeks or up to 10 off. Lets hope he gets a game at the Crows and doesn't play 5 for the Dogs !! ;)

I watched him closely myself, firstly at the Nab Cup opener at AAMI Stadium and then in the Challenge game at Thebby. He went very well in both, more so though in the challenge game and I had no doubt that he would have gained a regular spot in the Crows lineup at some stage this season.
He seemed to have picked up a yard or 2 in pace and was his usual hard self at the ball. Very unlucky and I hope he gets his chance sooner rather than later.

No worries.

Quoting the entire post changes precisely none of the sentiments expressed but go your hardest if you want to celebrate those kind of numbskull opinions.

I shan't be surprised.

You're probably right but it's hard to forget such idiocy.

I reckon the only thing that could be sadder is having multiple user names to agree with yourself in forum discussions. :D

I wasn't happy about Phillips injury last year, but wishing injury on someone, or rejoicing in it, is not on.

So disappointing to see people taking delight in someone else's misfortune. I bet if you spoke to Simon Phillips you would not find him taking solace from Ian Callinan's dilemma.

Add my name to the list with CP and others.

BTW the word is Karma.
