That rumour was circulating Unley on Sunday, as he didn't play in the 2's against the Eagles.
Did he play any League games for them earlier in the year?

Well that is a bit silly as we are past June 30 unless his brother registered him at Scotch OC.......

Played a couple of decent games earlier this year. Sometimes these young kids coming back from the AFL have a high opinion of themselves and they think they should be gifted a game. Jack Carter from Westies last year springs to mind.

That's what I thought as well but this is coming from a pretty good source.

Refer SAAFL D4 page for answers on Paul Cahill

Let that be a lesson to you Sturt. You don't beat Glenelg 3 times in a row in Grand Finals and get away with it.

Remembering thinking after the trial game at Kilburn that perhaps he must have had an interrupted pre season or something but it would appear that that was as good as it was going to get.
Agree with poster who said about guys thinking they are going to be gifted games. There has been sooooooooo many examples of AFL draftees coming back and then not working hard enough to make the grade even at SANFL level.

I assume these guys didn't make it in the AFL for the same reason they are not making it in the SANFL - they don't think they need to work at it and be self-disciplined?

It happens more often than not. There would be several players drafted each year that would drop out at State League level within 2 seasons as well.

Cahill was in trouble at least once with St. Kilda for being out drinking when he shouldn't have been. So you would suggest discipline was not high on the agenda.

I think you get the boot from St Kilda if you don't get out on the cans

Rowey just said that Jimmy Allan has told North he wont be playing for them next season.
If so will he be back from injury this year for a farewell game?

Wouldn't put too much credence on what that boofhead says.

It is my understanding that he has not made up his mind yet but if he is to go then so be it.

A 50-50 guess and a big chance to be correct and a big chance to be wrong!

Well Allan was interviewed last Saturday by ABC and he is sticking to his standard line - he will make his mind up at the end of the year as he has done for the past 2 and nothing has changed.

Yep would think alot of his decision may depend on how North finish off this season.

If North can finish of the season well finish 3rd and win a final he may think North are pretty close to a premiership and stay on. On the other hand North finish 4th or 5th lose the elimination final and his decision maybe different.
