True, they're flat out trying to stay off the bottom in the SANFL.

Would I be safe in saying that North clearly are the best SANFL club against interstate opposition even if you go as far back as the 80s and possibly early 70s?
Beaten 3 interstate sides in the last ten years and lost to none and in the 80s knocked off Melbourne here, Collingwood in Victoria but lost to an awesome Hawks side in Melbourne.
And we all know what happened in 1972.

Are SANFL clubs pulling the piss or has the WAFL overtaken as the better comp?

Excellent question - Thought East Freo played the better style for the conditions, had bigger bodies and much better footskills.

The Norwood of 2013 isn't the same as last year, we just have to hope we can still be good enough (I have my doubts about that) - And I dont say that on the back of just 1 Foxtel Cup game.

We haven't replaced the run, carry and effective disposal of Terlich, Brown, Batsanis and Cachia and we lack badly in that area .. OK I know we have some good players to return, but some have been out for so long there's no assurances they'll be the players they were, or won't re-injure themselves when they get back, and certainly the depth of 2012 isn't there.

Personally I think North have gone past us and West will, but hope I'm wrong, we'll find out I guess.

Not fussed about getting knocked out of the Cup, think we have more important matters that need addressing.

I for one am glad West are in the competition, we get to play on the MCG which wouldnt be the case otherwise. Great experience for some of our younger blokes like Kirk, Bonney, Caire, Beech etc. I think the players will want to play as it might be their only chance to play on the MCG.
