Too right there Locky!!!!!!
Sounded like a good game at Alberton and Tigers almost stole it at Uni oval coming from 22 pts down early in the last to lose by 2pts

Let that be a lesson to you Sturt. You don't beat Glenelg 3 times in a row in Grand Finals and get away with it.

Sturts 2nd halfs are a total joke.

Yes we have had fade outs but you can't use today's game as one of those. We were down to one man on the bench for the last 1/4 and a two man bench for the last half. If you bring into equation the concussion that Pearce got in the third then you really have to question if we had a fit bench at all for most of the last half.
Some of the umpiring in this game was disgraceful. Crane gets whacked in the head in a front on tackle with no free kick and gets sent off under the blood rule with a huge black eye and bleeding. I've never been so close to jumping the fence in anger. However hats off the the North dick that did when Crane went over to the bloke that got him....all class.

Great game at Alberton. Both teams fought hard and it was one of those "shame someone had to lose" type games. Two great marks in the dying minutes by Rose sealed it for the Pies

Tell me what was wrong with tackle. From what I saw it was hard and legally done with no shoulder charge etc just I assume an accidental clash of heads (not sure on that though). So what your saying is that you cant tackle someone from the front as Clinch did, the umpire (who for a change was in good position) saw no problem with it so what's yours. Both players has blood streaming and were quite rightly sent off

Never said it was a shoulder charge but definately got Crane high, and I never said it was deliberate. Where you assume that I said you can't tackle front on is beyond me, I only said that it was a front on tackle. For such and obvious free kick there were plenty of soft ones dished out and obvious holding the balls that your mob got off lightly.

That was the inference that I took and you did mention front on and inferred that Crane got "whacked" in the head and sent off because of the tackle. If that was not your inference then maybe tone down the language a little.

From where I was sitting, it was the perfect tackle where Crane ran into Clinch who wrapped him up. Regarding the umpiring, it was atrocious and I thought Sturt got the benefit of many soft frees and 25-50m penalties from frustrated North player actions/comments, many of which resulted in scores.

The tackle didn't get Crane high. The tackle was around the waist. If anything it was Crane's head which hit Clinch's but that it is a moot point, neither player did anything wrong. It was a clash of heads and Clinch too got a cut head and had to go off. I was actually standing about 20 metres to the south of the incident and from my position it actually looked as though Crane was holding the ball. I also thought that North had taken some control of the match by that stage of the game.
