Collins speaks well. Seems to understand football is a game bigger than the individual and footy clubs form a part of the local community.

Obviously Bassett does not and seems to think it's about "me".

Agree with you Southee. Hope the arrogant p...k gets his ar$e kicked sunday.

did you watch the link?
sure it would be great for them to open the doors. but then you would all pi$$ and moan that the SANFL lost money on the day!

i thought Bass hit the nail on the head. for $30 (i think it is to much as well btw. $20 would be fine) you get 9hrs of football and the highest level outside the AFL. pretty bloody good if you ask me.

also on another note. when these 2 teams have played this year there havent been shoot outs! but i seem to recall Sydney and West coast playing a GF a few years ago that was under 10goals each and it was bloody brilliant!

So Ben Warren doesn't deserve a possible premiership this way ? He was given another opportunity at a different club that thought he still had something to offer and you have an issue with it? Sour grapes or what ?
Given some of the crap spoken about Norwood from opposition supporters this year, that's up there with the most ignorant of all of them.

I just hope the game is interesting and not like the 2nd semi-final. Norwood would be deserving premiers (except for the arrogant c*ckhead who coaches them) but West have been right up there this year and given they beat us last week then I am punting for them this week plus their coach seems to have a much more pleasant media and public persona.
Piss weak SANFL and the CLOWNS who run it.

Bassett is definately the most hated man around the SANFL and it's all on him!
His gamestyle and personality/ attitude are there for all to see.
You don't get it from Laird, who can buy and sell Bassett with his record of achievement.
When Norwood win on Sunday, it will finally be something he could actually get a big head about, as he was just an average player who found a niche at an average club.
Farewell Mr Arrogant, you definately won't be missed

weather for Sunday
Adelaide Sunday - probably near 20 - fairly sunny, maybe a bit of cloud increasing toward sunset and light winds. All in all a nice day.

I don't mind Bass. He's knows what he wants.
He's pretty honest too. No nonsense, how the likes of Kerley etc used to be.

Was listening to 3D Radio this morning, a strange place for footy commentary, nonetheless, the announcers called him Nathan 'Man Size' Bassett. Were they referring to the song by Supergrass, suggesting he's a bit of a Rooster?

Weather sounds ideal for footy.
Agree the prices are a bit rough. $20 adult, $10 concession, $5 kids, $50 family of 2 + 4.

The reason why coaches like Andy Collins and Nathan Bassett seem to be arrogant and outlandish in the press is because they both tend to tell the truth and speak their minds
Basically most coaches are conservative and dont make an impact

There was an article in the Courier a few weeks ago about the three boys from Onkas, all grew up on the same street.

A good Norwood side.
I honestly can't see West getting over them - this team is battle hardended after several years in the finals.
West are a team on the up but it would be a shock if they got over the Legs.

West ins - Ben Fisher, Bonney
No outs

If everyone is fit I would expect Bonney and maybe Hill to miss. Logan Hill would be very unlucky
