Which player is more likely to be available to the Eagles? Kerridge or McCarthy? Both were available to the Eagles. McCarthy would be a walk-up start for the Power compared to young Kerridge for the Crows - Eagles took McCarthy. THAT was the point I was making.
If Salter is available 3rd Tall for the Eagles, Fitzgerald misses out. If Paul Stewart plays as the running HB, Raymond unluckily gets pushed out; if Thompson plays BP, Tiller loses out and then with a midfield of Powell, Ciccollela, Shirley, Rowntree, Lewis, Sumner, Eddy and pinch hitters Kane, Goldsworthy, Almond, who's going to miss out. Hence, a pretty good looking 2012 Seconds team.
Again, good reason to pick McCarthy who they won't see much of instead of Kerridge. Otherwise, Seconds players like Rayner, Batley, Lane might as well quit and get a game elsewhere.

Rayner has quit yeah?

Nathan Rayner has infact quit the Woodville West Torrens Football Club and has signed with Woodville South Football Club

No
I cant honestly see Renouf playing more than a handful of games for the Power. I see him as a backup in case Lobbe goes down. Wont think Port will play 2 ruckmen, probably Lobbe with Westhoff/Trengove doing the backup.
Norwood need a ruckman, reckon he will fit in nicely

So Lobbe will be playing at Westies all year, is that a wish ;)
I thought Lobbe goes allright, would be one to persist with IMO

No, it's more a view formed by seeing him struggle at SANFL level. Having seen him I can't quite believe he will ever be a good AFL player. Mind you, that doesn't mean he won't be Port's no. 1 ruckman.

Disappointing if Nathan Rayner has quit. Expect he's signed with Woodville South with the expectation that the Eagles will drop him off their active list allowing him to be a free agent for another Club in 2013. At age 21 years and loads of talent, would be a good pickup.
Hopefully, he may see fit to treturn to the Eagles in 2013 once AFL listed players Jarrad Irons, Joyce and Ellis-Yolmen are playing a few AFL games and freeing up a position at the Eagles.

From what I have heard that statement couldn't be further from the truth. I think he had a crack at SANFL and is now quite happy to play with his mates at the Cats

Bit of a change of pace for Spurr, from a sucessful side to a bunch of scrubbers

Should mean he will stand out thus increasing his chances of getting elevated to the senior list and playing some AFL footy.
