I say Roy Laird.
Here's his chance to prove himself.
Can he lift a poor performing club to be Premiers? Ala - Williams, Oatey, Kerley?

If Laird really wanted a challenge, he should go further South.

If you're going to target existing SANFL coaches then go for Andy Collins.

If only to keep the tradition of employing ex-Westies blokes in the coaching chair.

Yes, Burge still at South.

No doubt he will apply, as he has for every other SANFL League gig that has come up over the past 7 years. Hopefully one day a club will give him a go.

Just listened to Massie speak and found it very interesting.

Massie stumbled a lot over his words and said the following.

He was told Sunday he would be coach - ??? Mickan informed Monday
Rowe said he will connect with the younger players -did Mickan not ? Isthat an admission from Rowe?
Seemed concerned about Chad Cornes and when questionned by Graham said it was a joke and Rowey rescued him.
He has had no direction from the board - the same board that said Mickan hadn't followed certain things ???
He had no communication from the board - WTF ?
The competitiveness had fallen away under Mickan

I think at this point the Bays will push deep in the finals but we will know more after Saturday. This year may not be the issue , the issue is the Board at Glenelg who may just listen to the wrong people and it may bite them in the future. So far this year - CEO gone ,Coach gone.

Yet he rabbits on tonight about how the season is not lost, blah blah...

To be fair he may have wanted Mickan to stay but got out voted by the board?

Well said Dutchy,I've heard there was a massive push to oust him at the end of last year and Metcalf had a deciding vote and showed faith. This year had Mickan in trouble from very early on.

Come on Deidree give us an in depth comment on yet another coach that has been sacked from your club.

I am not sure when Steve left but it was this year or last and if it was this I found it interesting that two important positions have been vacated within a short time. Even if it was last year it is still amazing , who is running the club down there ?

No pictures Deidree just an informed comment . Good luck.
