That's why nothing should ever be looked into trial game results. It's not worth singing the club song after the match. ;) :p

Nice effort from the Bloods, looked fitter than last year and a long kicking style of play (hooray).

Four things I learnt from the trial:

1. Brad Moran is too good for the SANFL... dominated
2. If we play the same way today all year, we will be even more competative than last year
3. Willits has got to be the loudest person in the SANFL, if not South Australia
4. Jordan McMahon hasnt met the middle of Richmond Oval yet

Only a trial but it was great to have footy back for 2011
July 11th 2012....

I know you shouldn't look too much into pre-season form but, that is not good.

Ben Kane didn't play for Glenelg and their reserves included Tenace and several other league players.

Having said that, Glenelg never looked as if they had come to play and West's margin should have been greater, as they dominated all day.

As Brodlach said, Moran dominated nthe ruck and around the ground and West's defence was wonderful. The Bloods certainly looked fitter and ran the game out well, although both sides had about 6 on the bench.

Brad Fisher showed enough to suggest he'll be an asset up forward, while West's pressure forced Glenelg into a lot of turnovers.

Glenelg supporters should probably jus forget the trial, while West fans should realise it was only a trial, but they can be very, very pleased with what they saw.
