So I retract what I said about Callinan, he was clearly Dogs best player and 2nd best on ground and the winning side should get the Jack Oatey, if we had won then Puopoulou clear winner.

The last chapter of the Doggie Dynasty has been written, and now the NWO (Norwood World Order) begins!!!

Can someone tell me why Gags wasn't offered the opportunity to address the crowd at the presentations?? I always believed the losing Captain was given the right to thank his players and supporters, and congratulate the victors.

Fair enough fester69. The emotions on Grand Final Day run high for both teams. Was a fair bump, but a bone crunching one.

PS - I rate that Kieran McGuinness. That boy can play.

And what about Pumpa BC - he must be pretty chuffed with 2 flags in a month !!!

I left him at the Berkley at 3.30 this morning and he was an absolute spastic. I would hate to see what sort of form he is in as we speak.

Funnily enough he was the first player back to the club today and looked suprisingly 'very fresh' spent his first 45 minutes signing autographs and chatting to all the kids.

Gallagher and Bassett addressed those in the Centrals rooms after the game, and both spoke well whilst obviously gutted with the result. Not sure but I think Roy Laird and Paul Thomas may have addressed the Norwood rooms after the game too?

Rumour going around is it was a recurrence of an injury suffered part way through the year but was covered by a plate and was rehealed somewhat. Apparently got a kick from an opposition player and the person I heard from said it was deliberate. I didn't see when it happened so can't say for myself whether it was true or not.

I would love to comment on the game, as I usually do, but the whole match was marred for me by some Norwood thugs going after a mouthy dogs fan after the game. Some of the kids in front of me were distraught about a full on fight only 2 metres away from them. Then to see a group of half a dozen of them trying to get some of us to go up the steps to continue it was disgusting. First time I've seen violence of that level live at the footy in over 20 years. Thankfully there didn't happen to be any dogs fans merely wanting to leave as I fear for what might have happened. Weslo took seemingly an eternity to get there given they were everywhere else around the stadium, while the police came so late they were never going to be able to actually do anything.

Sad end to what was a great day, one of the great grand finals and a proud chapter for the CDFC.

It was a fair bump, didn't see it coming, most unfortunate injury. At least it was little guy on little guy. Imagine if he'd been cleaned up by someone like Sutherland  (like his hit on Sibenaler)

They asked me to stop standing on the chair during the after match celebrations.
I'm not sure how they were going to stop the thousands of other people from doing so....

No it was two, one at each end that I saw. I trust that no one got injured this year.

Interestingly 3 out of the last 5 finals games Central have been involved in have been decided by one kick.

Correct. I won't mention the player that kicked him seeing as he's retired now.

Just watching the replay again, Sutherlands ruck work in the third quarter was amazing and really got the ball going forward for the Dogs.

The Sutherland story is another Laird masterstroke, three first time premiership players Jenner, Sutherland, Boyd all from other SANFL clubs, funnily enough most people were saying they would never play league at the Dogs when they made the move. I bet their all pretty happy with decision to move to the Dogs, hopefully this encourages a few more possible recruits to make the move.

1st in the first 15 mins....a record low.

Is it still taditional for captains and coaches of BOTH teams to visit each other's rooms after the GF?

Even though we lost, I guess that game will genuinely be regarded as a "Grand" GF in years to come.

What an awesome Grand Final the closest and best (excluding 2000 which will always be the special one). Such great fighting spirit shown from the dogs when we were up against it at half time. Once again Roy showed himself as the master coach and everyone just dug so deep. So proud of all Central players today.

The atmostphere was sensational and I thought maybe a larger crowd say around 37 000+ but congrats to Norwood and Central fans for getting out there in force.

Norwood were fantastic today and yes we've had a long rivalry with them but full credit to Nathan Bassett and the team they did their footy club proud and I see them as being right up there for a while. Credit to this group as the NFC has been down for a while now but no longer they are back and will be strong again I'm sure.

We look forward to further great battles in 2011 with you guys.

GO YOU DOGGIES 4 in a row, 9 out 11 and 2010 Premiers!
