Apparently Ron Fuller has been approached by the club, but in the role as 'DIRECTOR OF COACHING',with Clay to stay on as senior coach.
I hope the club will go all out to get Ron at the club.He has the sort of football experience that would be invaluable to any club(including AFL!)
The other on my wishlist would be to retain Jason Torney at the club as a Clays senior right hand man.
We do need a solid coaching platform to help push through our young developing players and 'if" we were to get Ron Fuller and retain Jason Torney we would be well on the way to forming a very solid coaching team capable of leading us to some sustained success! :)

Two years and in the third he'll have the full support of the board.
It's all the SANFL's fault.

Poor old Stampy. The Bays have NEVER had a dominant era. NEVER. Nothing like the 6 flags in 9 years at South in the 90s. Nothing like the 2 flags in 4 years like South in the late 30s.

Come back when the Bays have won 11 flags. Then we can speak on equal terms.

If he gets re-appointed he should chase up Nathan Bassett to be his assistant.

I hope Bassett gets the job at the magpies. I have no idea who is in the mix though

South Adelaide FC league coaching position
Wednesday 23 September, 2009

Following an extensive review process, the Board of the South Adelaide Football Club has decided not to renew the contract of current League Coach Clay Sampson.

The club's focus now turns to securing the most qualified coach to lead the Panthers back to finals football.

The Club is determined to get this decision right and is pleased to advise that two of the state's most experienced and well-credentialed football minds, John Reid and Ron Fuller, will head the committee charged with making this critical appointment.

For further enquires please make contact with:

Ben Kavenagh, SAFC CEO on 8186 8200

If you want to go quickly, go alone.

Difference being, Pyman was sacked/dismissed while still under contract, Clay's contract expired/ran its term and not renewed. Therefore one was sacked the other contract expired.
