Glenelg far too good.

Should have stayed in my sick bed rather than venturing down to the AO to show my undying love for the Double Blues.

Despite the loss well down to all concerned at Unley on a Season which exceeded expectations after the disaster of 2006.

Hope the Bays can go all the way. :)

yes Yes YES YES!!!!!

WOW how good was that!!!!

Benny Moore you legend....

well done Sturt, to be honest they were the better side on the day, but the Tiges determination in the second half when our midfield started to get on top was magnificent

we wil have to improve for next week

the 2 to benny were worth a million in the context of the game, on reflection for us to get out of the match with a win is nothing short of miraculous, i was never confident we would get up until moore kicked that last goal, i am still in shock

btw i had me old man ringing me after the game asking what the fiasco was as the umpires where leaving the ground, the radio beat it up - something about someone trying to get at the magots. Anyone see anything?

I had plenty on GL to win the game and got the cash
ST awesome tackling early
GL persisted all day and finished better as the game went on
Feast was crying after the game, I felt for the big fella

As for the umpiring
GL were extremely fortunate most of the day

As for the eviction of the ST barracker
I saw him evicted and he is a very passionate supporter of the Blues
I know the guy played footy against him and know him from the racetracks
I will catch up with him and get his version of events
I can understand his frustration at the umpires

ST now lost 4 of 4 games at Adelaide Oval now

FINAL SCORES

GLENELG....8-9
CHAMBERS.6-2
STURT......2-6

One lousy point loss for ST today and were stiff to lose
GL continue to win and live one more week at least

$9 admission was great value for 2 top notch hard finals games today
Costs the same to go to the races these days for infinitely less value

Met the BIG W today !!!

Yes, sad for Feast that he couldn't sink that one through the center. If there has been one player we relied on more than any other this year it would have to be either Chambers or Feast for mine. Chambers didn't miss a game all year so I can only guess what how we would perform with him out. But when Feast didn't play our results were pretty bad, and I know he gave his all out there today.
No way could any of us blame him for the loss, he was one of the main reasons we were even on the park today, and a major contributor to a high standard game of football.
I'm gonna sit back, crack the top off a Pale Ale, and watch the Double Blues prevail

i thought sturt played a smart brand of footy in trying to keep it in close & on the ground & it all but worked, because if the game opened up i'm sure that we would have blown sturt away in a shoot out, i'm sure sturt1 will be shattered but just remember it could have been a grand worse off for you but you were too smart to bet & i thought what nelson who was obviously shattered & macgown said in the rooms was magnificent & truly of the highest of sportsmanship & i know rubbers went into the sturt rooms but i have no idea what he said
i thought secret groups were a thing of the past, well not on websites anyway

What a day. Proud of the Blueboys, thanks for the ride this season. Well done the bays, battled hard all day.

We should all remember how lucky we are to have this great comp. I'm still gutted .......

Well done to the Bays, we had our chance and didn't take it, good luck in the finals. I've composed myself by now and have only been as angry at the umpiring one time before at an Eagles/Sturt final a few years back. How can they let games flow all year and then come up with that deranged crap, from what I've heard the 2nd final was the same except the final tally was a bit more even. If Dey, Fila and ROWSTON get games next week then watch out, take some sedatives.
Well done Tiges.
