I hope the PAFC give the SANFL a multi million dollar bill for their zones that they've developed over 100 years.

And none of the other clubs have developed their zones - what is your point? What about the handout money to prop up "One Club" - you forget that! Selfish and greedy even to the grave!

and what about the money NAFC need to prop them up over the years? yeh you seem to forget about the hand outs you have gotten.

NAFC have never received a handout from the sanfl. What are you talking about?

yeh they have mate Rob Gerard bank rolled the club for many years. And yes he was sponsor but this was outside of his sponsorship contract.

Everyone is going about Port Adelaide should lose their zone, can some explain to me what advantage the Port Adelaide football club will have by keeping their zone?

explained to me or someone trying to brush off the fact that their club received handouts. See when you are a sponsor you have a contract to say how much you will give and what you get in return. But when a club comes running to you asking for more money outside of that contract to keep alive then thats a handout.

No, it makes no sense to 8 SANFL clubs.

Either commit to the AFL or SANFL ... can't do both.

Now faark off and leave the SANFL alone and RIP Magpies.

Since no other AFL club has that sort of direct access to a zone, it would be an unfair advantage. Let's just say there's some 13 or 14 year old kid who is looking like they're going to be a superstar. And yes, you can often tell even at that age. It would be too easy for Port to tell the kid to stick to playing with his local club so they can nab him with a lower pick if they can keep him away from every other AFL club's recruiters. On the other hand, if they have a low pick (or no picks if something goes awry) what incentive do they have to develop players knowing they'll be picked up by a rival AFL club.

Once they amalgamated the Port Adelaides, they would have had to eventually strip the zones off them. When that happened they were always going to have to stop being a league club. "One club" was always going to result in no Magpies. Sad the Port fans didn't realise until it was too late.

Why would the kid agree to not being able to improve himself by playing against state teams and possibly joining the AIS because of a "oh don't worry, we'll pick you up in 5 years time"? If a kid is that good, more often than not recruiters will already know about him. Why would Port risk massive fines and possible draft bans for draft manipulation?

KT is purely preaching to the converted.

He makes no reference to to the 1st two of the Guiding Principles as set out by the CEOs cut and paste homework exercise a few weeks ago.

It's about the Relevance and Integtrity of the SANFL comp.

When will someone, anyone, who is in favour of the proposals actually address this issue???

And brushing it off by saying it's not an issue is not addressing the issue.

Even just admitting that these principles will be compromised but that you don't care would be a good start. At least it would be honest and we'd know where you are really coming from.

And one more thing - Someone needs to contact KT and just remind him of one thing. The 8 SANFL clubs are not doing anything to bring about the demise of the Magpies. The PAFC are killing the Magpies. The irony is astounding.

As opposed to Gordon Pickard and his out of "contract" support of the PAFC, Allan Scott and his $$$ that built the Power's HQ.

You haven't got a clue about what happened in the past at the NAFC so why would you post that absolute rubbish?

Does it really matter? If the AFL reserves sides enter the SANFL League comp it will be a meaningless worthless competition that no-one will care about anyway. The only interest will be in how the AFL listed players did. The result of the matches will likely not be known by many. All we'll get in the media will be a breakdown of each AFL listed player and how they played, what position/s they were trialed in etc.

Yep the death of the Magpies and the SANFL is nigh thanks to the Port Adelaide One club Conspiracy and also a big thank you to Mr Crow Sanderson pushing the agenda of a reserves side in our comp. SANFL lovers be prepared that in the near you will be attending games with the possibility of crowds of 500 to 1000 why bother going. You gotta feel for the loyal diehard Magpie supporter and their are about 4,000 members who now have been stabbed twice through the heart this time it will be fatal.
SANFL 2000 - 2011 Central District 12 consecutive Grand Final appearances and 9 Premierships.

WOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOFFFFFFFFFF.

Hit em hard let them get up and hit em again.
