Yes that's really disappointing. He's a little gun and one of the better players I've played against and watched play a fair few times. Though I'm sure Salisbury west (if he goes back there and stays there) won't mind though.

We are very happy. He's a fantastic player for us and to have him full time for the season is a massive bonus. I'm not so sure his leaving Port was entirely Port just cutting him, I think he was sick of it. We'll appreciate his availability this season but next season he'll go to the other league club that was trying to entice him for this year when he decided to stay loyal.

Does he work as a removalist? I'm pretty certain it was him who moved me from Loxton to Gawler late last year. Him and the youngest (?) Creek lad.

Mitch Sandery might be just the type of player Sturt are looking for ? A lot closer to home.
Thought Mitch was a bit slow during his time at Norwood but he was highly rated as a junior and certainly had his chances at the Parade.

Not a bad pickup for the Roosters, although they appear to have some quality talls, so not sure it will be much easier for Will at Prospect than it was at Norwood.

By all reports he's a top young lad, so other than against us I hope he goes really well.

Can he play Centre Half Back. North are at least one key defender short.

With our skipper down and relying on an AFL listed Jonas, I wouldn't have thought we were loaded for options in that position, but hopefully (and likely lol) Bass knows more than I .. As I said, best of luck to the lad in the good ol red and white.

With having to travel a fair bit up to the mines for work, Nick wasn't able to commit to the training demands of SANFL footy. Speaking to his old man the other week, he said he was either going to go back to his junior club Eastern Park or the Barossa League...

Obviously the South Gawler offer was a bit more enticing than that of Eastern Park...

Was a pretty good offer unfortunatly Ash Fry couldnt take up the same offer because Willaston wouldnt clear him to South G and Ash is now stuck playing for Willaston.

Went ok in his first game considering he only met the guys late in the week and had 1 training session.
Showed some real good signs, cant wait to see how he goes with a few games under his belt

Believe Ash has a few real close mates at South and wanted to have a kick with them.

Personally i think he will be amazing at Country/Amatuer level. He just lacked that 5-10cm of height, 5-10kg of weight to play on the big full fowards at League level. Its hard to make a career as a specialist 3rd tall defender.

At country/amatuer level i think he will have the ability to play either tall or small and at both ends of the ground.

Im spewing he didnt get to Eastern Park but i did also play a couple of season at South Gawler so i still have a soft spot there.

He did Willaston refused to let him go to Souths. He just wants to play football after having a month out so will see the year out a Willaston and then move on.

Only scraped together 8 league games in the past two seasons for North but had probably his best game for the club at league level after dominating in the 2's all year. Presumably he's only playing for Hahndorf this weekend as North has the bye?

Eagles recruit from APY Lands to boost it’s 2012 campaign

The WWTFC is pleased to announce that Kieran Roberts and Nelson Peters from the Far North West Football League (FNWSL) on the Anangu Pitjantjatjara Yankunytjatjara Lands (APY Lands) have signed with the Club with the view of playing the next two games at minimum and potentially the remainder of the SANFL Season. Both will play in the Eagles Reserves Team at Playford Alive Oval versus Centrals this week.

Kieran Roberts played one game for the Club’s Reserves in 2011, along with Amos Frank who was drafted by Hawthorn in last year’s AFL Rookie Draft. They were the first players from the remote region 1200km north of Adelaide to play at this level.

Please join the WWTFC in welcoming Kieran back to the Club and Nelson to the Club
