We've been flicking the uncommitted for years, I'd say we're on track for a better season than the last.

When you say reserves you mean the Magpies League team as they are already gearing up to be the AFL Reserves team. With the Magpies list and recruiting this year Butcher will most likely play league!

The couple of times I saw Lawton play last season he looked good and with Hayes and Westoff switching clubs you would have thought that he should have set himself up for a big year with Obst and Hardy up forward. Always sh#ts me when guys with talent don't commit themselves and end up running around in the country earning more money than those doing the hard yards in the SANFL, a prime example of this is Tim Milera all the talent in the world but can't be bothered. Hopefully Lawton can pull his head in and find another club.

The greatest sin in the universe is to waste God given talent.
Sadly the really talented kids find it too easily early and can not handle it when it gets harder.

It does a club more long term good that it does short term bad to cull out players not putting in. That makes a Great club like Port of old and Centrals of more recent times.
If you don't want to put in like the rest of us xxxx off !!!!

Yes the uncommitted are a cancer and can spread their malaise.
The Eagles had Eddy last season.... who knows how poor an example he must have set, especially for our younger players.
Godden has certainly gone at the squad very hard from the start this time around, no coincidence!
Oh and we did have a HANGOVER
