Especially considering he was stuck with Peel Thunder in the local league.
It's all the SANFL's fault.

As anticipated earlier, Jordan McMahon from Glenelg has announced his retirement, for now...

McMahon puts football on hold

Jordan McMahon today advised the Glenelg Football Club that he has decided to sit out the remainder of 2012 season in order to focus on his new real estate career and his daughter.

McMahon said he is very comfortable with his decision. “I didn’t play last Friday night against Sturt and really enjoyed watching from the sidelines and I knew then that it was the right decision. Kris (Massie) and I have discussed my situation and quite simply my priorities right now are with my daughter and my real estate career,” he said.

“The club has been great since my return from Melbourne and I’m looking forward to supporting the club from the sidelines working for sponsor Phil McMahon Real Estate,” he added.
The club and Jordan have agreed sit down at the end of the 2012 season to discuss his future football plans.

McMahon has played 20 games for the club since returning from his 148 game career in the AFL with the Western Bulldogs and Richmond.

That's a shame, Brett was one of my favourites of all time. Absolute gem of a bloke. When my nan had terminal cancer in 2005, he knocked on her door not knowing her but only knowing that she was a bays fan and delivered a signed bays guernsey.

what he thought they were going to be rubbish after last years finals performances and with all the players drafted/retired/leaving so pulled the pin. Now they have strung a few wins together he can sniff a premiership.

He couldn't break the tag of an 18yo kid last season, how is he gonna go breaking a tag of a grown man, especially when getting belted every time he goes within 10m of the ball...

Will be interesting to see what plays out with this situation.

His definatly not the same player he was before the nasty leg break but no doubt still has alot to offer at SANFL level.

Was at the game last night in his official Central gear and seemed in pretty good spirits the few times i seen him. Heard 3 different rumours about whats going on between 12 middday and 9:30pm yesterday.
