If Liam was seen at Central's training, this may make sense as it said in a recent article he lived at Elizabeth.

I really do hope Liam is OK regardless of what happens in footy.

Here is a bloke who could hardly speak English, join an AFL club, to suddenly become an overnight star in the AFL, to then have a fall.

I pray that he is well and yes as a football lover, would love to watch him play, but more importantly I pray that he is well and has the right care and support during his current time especially with his court case coming up in March.

Also Liam thank you for visiting Hutt Street Centre with Food. Where I work we support Hutt Street as one of our charities and what he is doing there is fantastic. Well done Liam. :D

probably a good idea to worry about footy until after the court case then.

Nice to see a positive post. Hopefully all works well for him. Can't help but feel he has been used as a bit of a pawn in the whole system. If he is settling in Adelaide for the winter would be great to see him play in the SANFL - if he wants to. What's happened out of footy has been publicized enough - surely everyone can move on and let the courts settle it - it's none of our business.

then we had better not talk about anyone else then. it's all over the local media.
The stuff he is doing at Hutt Street is excellent, we will all agree on that BUT, on the other hand, the AFL isn't the reason why he tried to decapitate someone. This is newsworthy, not too many footballers do this sort of thing. Like I have stated previously, I don't think it's such a big deal (football-wise) to get busted DUI.

The drunk driver who put innocent people at risk because of his stupidity who is also up on charges of attacking someone with a machete is a pawn?

I thought Sturt, South and West had the Hills area yet massive amounts being transfered from Hills League to Norwood. What gives there ?

Norwood currently have the eastern hills area form around Oakbank to Kersbrook at least. Didn't three of the Norwood premiership team come from the one street in Oakbank or Balhannah? In the proposed new zones I think that Norwood will lose that area so they maybe signing up as many promising juniors as they can prior to the new boundaries.

This is nothing new. Going back as far as 1959, North knew that they were losing Kilburn to the newly admitted Woodville so they sat a 12 year old John Robinson on the fence for the under 17s so that he qualified for North. Thus they gained a 150 game player. I know that I digress, but it is a part of the SANFL history, but at the same time Lindsay Backman to was in that area that had belonged to North but was going to become Woodville. Backman was a South supporter and desperately wanted to play for them. North desperately wanted him but when they relised they were going to lose him to Woodville under the new boundaries, they reluctantly cleared him to South to ensure they got some recompense. Thus South got a premiership centreman and future state player.

Lindsay Backman was a terrific player. Number 5. The South team of that era was a real good side ..... obviously because they won a flag.
I remember as a kid watching South play a lot of games @ Kensington Oval and Southy were my second side in 1963 and was delighted they won the flag in 1964.
David Kantilla, Alf Skuse, Brian Plonges, Peter Darley, Lester Ross, Niel Kerley, Ian Day to name just a few.
They used to call South the " Yeohs " back then.

Strange why some players from the Hills league are going to the Eagles. I am pretty sure that is not our area.

In particular I notice that Jack Geyer has transferred to the Eagles from Hills League. Is he the son of Steve Geyer who I think retired in 1992? Might be a father-son transfer?

I think(?) Steve Geyer may have previously coached in the Hills League, so may be a resident there somewhere.
