I believe we will improve significantly this year. The bad news for South fans is that I also believe most of the other teams will as well. :? :?

Was lucky enough to speak with Ron and he believes that McLeod is going to be a gun! Pity we didn't get McMahon aswell he would have been a great addition to a midfield group that is going to be extremely competitive in 2011. The only thing that worries me though is the potential for a lot of good players going home to Victoria like we did the last time we made the finals. I believe that we'll make the finals this year though after speaking with Ron today.

this lad apparantly reminds the coach of a young Gavin Colville

losing Crate, Turner & Splitt so early for long periods is a hit

along with the new recruits (some toughness apparantly), improvement in entire list, getting a fit Danial Talia back to hold CHB & McKernan start to dominate for longer periods will be the difference in making finals

C'mon guys, pay Colville the respect he deserves. How many spectators got a premiership medal over the years? I've watched at least 13 grand finals live, and never got one.

Perhaps they mean he's like Colville in that the team will ultimately be better off without him?

Hope Chambers finishes as a sole Sturt player.
Hate to see long serving champion players from a club move to another club at the end of their career. Remember him as a Sturt star like Davies, Bagshaw and Co.
Tim Weatherall is an exception ...hahaha. Same as Jim West, Wayne Phillis, Paul Western, Rod Pope, Greg Nicholson. Everyone deserves a chance to play in the good old red and blue.

I think Norwood had the wood on Chambers over the last few years particularly but no one can doubt his record.

Fester will miss offering him pies in the goal square !

You probably need to put Davies in the West/Weston etc category given that he also played for South

I doubt that SDK, it was costing Fester over $200 bucks a quarter.
And that was before all the donuts and chips !

Big Phil ( Iam sure you can confirm this either way.)

Rumour on the VFL Forum that Simon Taylor the Ex Hawks ruckman has signed with Centrals.

It makes sense as Centrals need a quality ruckman & the link with Clarkson

There's been rumours floating around up this way for several months that Centrals has signed a couple of players from the VFL...

Never left...

As for that rumour, I can't see it happening him playing for Centrals...but if he's coming over here i'd expect him to play with either South or West...

Key position player, dont think Obst has ever spent a day in the ruck in his life.

He spent quite a bit of time in ruck for Werribee this year.
For every one I miss I am closer to a hole in one.

Hynes at Full Forward, Obst at C/H/F, Milne, Sutherland in ruck, Havelberg at Full Back or C/H/B, depending if Heater signs or not, just had twins last week therefore has more pressing matters at hand.
