Seriously HP your ignorance is showing! His last gig was U16s ;)

Wayne Smith has been a Coach of various development teams, and recently the U16s and has been involved in Glenelg's junior programme over many years.
And his teams played in Grand Finals in nearly all of them, most of them winning ones.
He loves Glenelg Football Club passionately, so is watching every game possible, and has been watching these guys play with a coaches eye.
The fact he has coached and watched so many of these young guys over the years means he already knows their abilities, their strengths and weaknesses, he already has a coaching relationship with them, and believe me, he already has their respect.

His role is Forward line Coach, and he fitted in nicely at his first official session Wed night.
It's great to have him back invovled

Stop talking sense, that kind of stupid talk isn't required on here...
Let that be a lesson to you Port, no one beats the Bays five times in a row in a GF and gets away with it!!!

If he has been around so long and had so much success at Junior level you would think that might translate to a senior finals win of some significance

I know Brad Mercer gave thought to moving to Canberra with Matty Lokan. But both are still training at Alberton.

They were done as 2 seperate deals, i dont think Xavier was contracted at Port, but Cockshell was at South.

No. We signed Watson about three months ago. Cockshel signed with Port on Jan 20 (?).

Thats a shame

While it is nice to see him go, we just have to remember that he has 1 more premiership medallion than any of our guys do at the moment.

Gave us all a nice laugh on stage Grand Final night with his impersonation of Choco saying " Collins you were wrong ! " , got any more @ Richmond oval , we love it !

I normally don't tolerate fools lightly but I'll make an exception, just this once.

Put your balls on the line mate ... if the Sturt finish above the Bays this year I'll wear your poofy guernsey at the first Sturt v Glenelg game at Unley in 2013. If Sturt don't, you get the pleasure of wearing the Bays guernsey on Snouts Hill against Sturt.

Happy to post happy snaps on this site ... just remember to smile for the camera.

You may not tolerate fools but someone in your life must ..
A bigger challenge would be for you to actually post something with substance about footy mate for a chnage . You add nothing , just post crap with no substance as you don't have much knowledge of the game I suspect.

Put your balls on the line he says , yeah right , what does betting got anything to do with it ? Tough talk , no substance. :-@
