What I have seen is the EAGLES having 3 big men up forward .When they have lost in the past with Kenny and Ben both could or appeared not to gel .With kenny at CHB they played better than today, mind you the other macca is great down back.
Now it could be they don't gel or the EAGLES don't bring the ball in correctly.
As I stated earlier Adam is playing this more like Fergus Watts compared to the way he played last year.
And I was more than happy with Ken up forwad today he worked great took fantastic marks and kicked good goals. But then Ben struggled and was replaced at FF by Passador who then had the ball delivered better to him by the players up the field.

Does that make sense ?

Well I think that Passador is a better leading forward than a contested forward - Schwarze is better at that - and McGregor kicked a couple of good passes to him today.

Spot on Spellchecker when Passador went to FF the eagles delievered the ball into the forwardline correctly .Also helped getting a 25 metre penalty from Coulter .

Smart.
We were a bit unlucky today when our Captain Brett White went down with a hammy at the 2 minute mark of the first quarter.

No he's 14.

Shane Schubert is 29 and he seemed to have some hammy issues too but played more then 2.5 mins.

Brett White is number 14. Number 29, Schubert went off in the second term and returned later in the game.

Snap.

Schubert copped a kick to the back of his thigh. Was able to run okay but he had trouble extending the leg when kicking. This is why he didn't come back on till a bit later in the game. Not a hamstring strain though.

Just finished watching the game on TV.

Eagles win toss.

1st quarter:

2.35 mark B.White goes down with hamstring.

Eagles 1st goal was actually off McIntyres leg, umpires cost us 5 pts

North 1st goal from strong D.White goal, no umpire influence.

11.48 mark, take note -, Banger runs back into the pack with Dabrowski bearing down on him and commentator mentions how he does that week in week out and how he's to be admired.

15.52 mark, Perrie takes a mark 60 metres out, the Eagles Hier runs over the mark by 5 to 10 metres (commentators even made mention) no 25 m penalty, no goal from resultant play.

19 minute mark North's 2nd goal from Perrie mark, no umpire influence.

20 minute mark, Cicolella throws ball 60 metres out from North goal (disposes it with no handpass from hands when tackled) no free kick

20.40 Soft free kick to McGregor for holding on that wasn't there, almost cost us a goal but McGregor did a shocker of a kick, no score.

23.00 Beautiful Bamford kick to Perrie 30m out, mark, goal, no umpire influence.

2nd quarter:
Schubert on bench getting treatment to hamstring, injured.

2:40 Eagles goal from free kick BUT this one was there, blatant throw by Coulter, no umpire influence

5:00 Great set up play by Mackenzie to Lomas to McGregor, goal, no umpire influence.

5:42 Dodgy holding the ball against Alleway, kick from free to Passador, goal

8:33 Lonie goal on the run, no umpire influence

15:00 Great mark by D.White, and goal, no umpire influence

16:26 Great goal by Lonie on the run after insperational work by Motlop, no umpire influence.

22:43 Younie goal after masterful play by Motlop, no umpire influence.

24:00 Perrie takes a screamer, goes back to kick it, gets called to play on despite not going off his mark and gets tackled from behind, umpire might have cost a goal. Ball goes down the other end and umpires a very soft in the back against Coulter, goal to Schwarze, possible 12 point play by umpires.

28:27 Great Damon White mark, goal, no umpire influence.

3rd quarter:

3:14 Goal to Cicolella, no umpire influence

7:35 Umpire misses push in back to D.White 45m out, Eagles get ball and rebound goal to McGregor.

10:50 Great roving goal to Loma, no umpiring influence.

11:50 D.White cops an around the neck tackle 20 metres out, no free paid and Eagles rush it down the other end for a goal to Passador. (possible 12 pt turnaround decision)

14:11 Disgraceful free kick to Passador 30 out AND the umpire gives a 25 metre penalty to boot.

16:50 Alleway takes good strong mark 45m out, umpire pays in the back, Eagles run it down to the other end and goal, 12 point turnaround decision.

18:00 Coulter takes mark 40 m out from Eagles goal, Eagles player runs over the mark but instead of giving 25 m the umpire calls play on! He handpasses to Coulter who runs 14 m with the ball yet the umpire calls him for running more than 15m!! AND then the umpire gives 25 m, goal, shocker.

28:00 Push in back to D.White 30m out, not played.

4th quarter:

4:30 Great kick by McGrego to Passador, goal, no umpire influence

8:56 Great roving goal to Allan, no umpiring influence

11:35 Great goal after a string of hand passes, Ryswyk to Allan to Alleway to Lonie to Younie, Goal, no umpiring influence.

16:10 Great goal to Motlop after handpass from Alleway after a great passage of play right from the backlines, no umpiring influence.

20:00 Motlop kicks a freak goal on the run, no umpiring influence.

22:01 Disgraceful decision against Shane Schubert for holding the ball 25 m out from Eagles goal, goal to McGregor, shocker.

23:50 Sporn mark 30 m out from Eagles goal, umpire calls play on, Passador tackles from behind and goal to Eagles. 50/50 so I wont mark as green or red

25:00 ABC commentators admit 3 crucial decisons have gone against North after Motlop gets a shocker against him in the middle for holding the ball

25:50 Goal from Alleway after marking Motlop pass.

30:31 siren goes.

Add all the umpiring decision that cost goals or cost goals and its almost 10 goals, Im even more ropable now after watching the replay and analysing the game.

That wasn't the umpires fault, if you read the post he was highlighting the quality of umpiring that was witnesed today, it was shite!

If people will read my post properly they'll see that the parts in green are non umpire influenced goals for both sides and the parts in red are the umpire influenced goals for both sides. I haven't bothered adding them, I don't need to after watching the replay. I know what sort of result I'd get if I did but I don't think I want to know!
