BW, I remain confident the opportunity to access the best training, rehab, welfare facilities in the competition, plus the prestige of winning a Premiership for Port Adelaide will be more than enough incentive for the PAFC's playing stocks to be more than adequately serviced.
I also think many will be surprised at both the numbers and the quality of those doing the upcoming pre-season under Darren Burgess.
Not every footballer plays simply for the money.

Bahaha! There is no longer any prestige in winning a premiership for Port Adelaide Power Magpies or whatever you call yourselves these days. There isn't even any prestige in beating you guys anymore. Your team is just a development squad. You are a nothing club now.

Beenreal, are you involved in the PAFC in anyway apart from being a supporter/member?
I think you live in a dreamworld, most players over the age 21/22 of will leave PAFC and look for opportunities elsewhere. Time will tell.
Probably going/Gone-
Gray
Beard
Watt
Kirkwood
Barnes
Heffernan
Heath
Slattery
Rose
Nyskohus
There's just a few names I've read on here and ones I've been told that are leaving, I'm sure they'll be more names that'll come up. Anyone else on here got any more names leaving?
I have been told that Raisiwaka and Sharrad have signed to stay at the Power

I think not many have signed as yet. Eagles to be a big beneficiary. Summerton a chance to stay, despite only $400 a game (insert wink).

This is just the thing. The talk of "$400 a game" causing an almost-complete clean-out, presumes that the PAFC are actually playing by the rules. Even though the majority of players have stampeded for the exits, for a few chosen ones, there will no doubt be made-up roles as Training Coordinator, Brand Ambassador etc which will be far, far more remunerative than the $400 pw they get for actually playing. (Brown paper bags are only for amateurs these days; make-believe jobs with very real salaries are for the 21st century professional sporting organisation.)sjt wrote:...
