Geez you people have short memories. How about 2008 when you came back in the final term to win, and all your "supporters" who we hadn't seen or heard from all day congregated behind the race and gave the Norwood players a serve? And DON'T even think about telling me it didn't happen.

It really pisses me off that "holier than thou" Central people think it's okay for them to do it, but when they cop it, suddenly it's very poor behaviour. Go and sulk somewhere else.

Tell that one to some of the Norwood cheersquad members who were near the players race at the match...

That was my point AK. They were definately getting carried away

How should they of supported their team of the park.

ummmmmmm, i wasnt sulking i agree that Norwood supporters should be able to support their team of the park how ever they like.

I have said it a few times on here but its a very sad day when you cant enjoy a teams win because of 'over' celebrating, stuff that go nuts.

Exactly, WHUFC. I said that earlier.

As for holier than thou, AH must have looked in the mirror when he made that post. Struth.
AH, as a prominent Norwood supporter, could you please provide some of your thoughts on the actual game itself rather than just make an appearance to sledge Doggies supporters for their 'poor attitude'?
Come on, you know you can do it.....

Yes that happened to me a couple of weeks ago. Posts deleted - no explanation. I had not posted anything outside of the guidleines. And then they allow Fester to my false and defamatory statements about one of our past champions.

Go figure. This site is going downhill.

You're right. Posts deletions should be explained but given that the mods are volunteers, some times it gets forgotten.
As allowing false and defamatory statements - did you inform a moderator of your concerns? Maybe they just weren't seen.

trust Me, the first 24 hours are murder, going cold turkey sucks but you just push on through, start trolling about other SANFL sites, you'll be ok.

Strangely, I think this Centurion fellow and myself would get along quite well, footy differences aside ;) !

it certainly happened post grand final last year with centrals supporters in the southern forward pocket (grandstand side) chanting losers losers as some norwood supporters filed out post game presentations.

i didn't like it then and i didn't like when some norwood supporters booed off centrals players.

to me it shows a small petty mind that schadenfreude (or pleasure derived from the misfortune of others) is indulged in anywhere. that said, australia's "funniest" home videos have made a living out of it...

You're Nicole Cornes right?

To label Fester's comment defamatory is laughably dramatic. And wrong.

And just for the hordes of Dog's supporters who pore over every Norwood utterance for evidence we watch the game, terrible game and we were lucky to get away with the win. Really disappointed with how the Legs played, the most pleasing thing was our dominance of the rucks. It's something we haven't had against them for years now and short of the Dogs recruiting someone mid year I don't see that changing.

You've outed me topsy

I have to tell you that I know the comments that Fester made were hurtful to Stuie's family. Call me dramatic but a lot of minor stuff has been deleted lately so I don't think the mods are being consistant.

I agree that Bown had a day out - but there is still time for us to improve and I am sure that will be on both the players minds and coaches. Of course the Norwood coach will be similarly planning an improvement. His reaction after the game was impressive. The season is starting to get exciting. :D

Back to the game yeah sure it was a great win by the Redlegs but also a great performance by Centrals youngsters ie

Haydon 1 st game
Hannath 2 nd game
Duncan 9 th game
Barmby 11 th game
Schiller 12 th game
Dunne 16 th game
Sutherland 16 th game

These is still a lot of improvement plus also experienced injured players to come back and i reckon the latter half of the year will be interesting.
SANFL 2000 - 2011 Central District 12 consecutive Grand Final appearances and 9 Premierships.

WOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOFFFFFFFFFF.

Hit em hard let them get up and hit em again.

You would certainly have to feel that there is far greater room for improvement in the Dogs than there is for us (hopefully not the case of course) ... Im not sure which each of those players was, but was very impressed with Barmby.

And of course, whilst he perhaps didn't perhaps blitz on the day (was still good I thought), Spurr is a footballer I would have in a heartbeat at the Parade, just such a gutsy and classy sort .. There was never any doubt about him going back and cooly slotting that last goal.

Hooray! Good stuff. Nice to see some footy discussion. Who'da thought we'd get there. Now if only the other grumpy bugger could do the same.
You're right, the ruck situation was a bit different to the past. Although, Pumpa is still doing a good job and is hard working enough to warrant the opportunities he has been given.
