This is not armageddon if Chambo don't play.
How influential has the great man been against these 2 sides in recent history?

Despite another Ken Farmer medal in his back pocket, we are not Chambo Centric this season.

I am a wrap for Jimmy (Zep Boy) Plant in the goal square).
All the doggies and bays would be saying Jimmy who?

Not ideal I grant you, but not the end of our push by any stretch.

31/57 forward 50s entries aimed at Chambo (didn't always hit him) to 3/4 time against West four weeks ago says differently. Reviewing the DVD v Glenelg he is the target you look for most coming forward.

Hey maybe a change to someone like Thurstans or another option could be a winning move.

Don't for minute think Laird didn't notice the bloke who kicked the first goal against the Bays.
Let that be a lesson to you Port, no one beats the Bays five times in a row in a GF and gets away with it!!!

Of course he is.

But the difference is those ratios compared to the last 2 seasons.

...and you can see a big difference this season between the effect of a Herring/Johncock HF line compared to a Perrie.

Other sides may not quite understand the importance of this structure and we (of course) hope they don't.

However, the numbers in that area don't lie.

OK if you say so...

Trust me other clubs have been watching you very closely over the last two years and I susppose how they structure up agaisnt you in the finals will tell if they are successful or not hey?? Time will be the judge...

Obviously so.

All I can say is the Blues circa 2009 is not the same structure as Blues circa 2007/2008.

Whether other clubs have watched and deduced this, well I cannot say.
Am Bays, you say clubs have observed this, but I don't have the ability to confirm or deny what you say.

But I for one, am comfortable that the evidence shows we have more avenues to goal this season than the last 2.

Whether this gets us over the line, as you say, who knows.

I was at training tonight and sat in on the team meeting. Chambo is in the lineup. Fit and raring to go.

Don't tell them that.
They were all hoping for some pussy-cat to line up at FF.

But we're so inexperienced in finals, we may just drop our guard.

Well overnight Sturt have drifted alarmingly in Sportbets market for tomorrow game and the flag market, coinciding with the doubts about Chambo, even more interesting as its an ex Sturt player that sets the markets for Sportsbet and the other bookies didnt move their prices until this morning....

Im guessing Chambo is out...

I thought Sturt earlier in the week but surely now a 50-50 game.

If there's no Chambers then it swings slightly the Dogs way.

I hope it stays warm tomorrow and the bodies go in hard ... don't hold back fellas.

Nobody, (especially Bays people) seem to rate Chambo against the top 2 sides and yet there are so many posts and now the betting now swinging the Doggies way, on the chance he is out tomorrow.

Interesting isn't it.

I guess you don't believe all the froth and bubble you read.

Betting doesnt change that much without knowledge, and a former Sturt player runs the show at Sportsbet who moved first, you add it up

Whilst some have made it into a bit of a sport, I've never made any adverse comments about Chambers against the Bays (or Central for that matter).

He's obviously an important player to the Blues and if he's unavailable tomorrow then it seems logical that it will affect their chances to some extent.

I don't bet or follow the odds so don't give a rats about what they may or may not indicate.

Nothing controversial in any of that I would have thought? ;)

No different to the Sturt supporters who comment on how he is the best full forward outside the AFL, and how he is unstoppable, ? x farmer medallist etc etc etc , yet when his injured and may not play, it's not that great a loss and can be covered by others, may in fact be a positive, now have more flexibilty etc etc

I rate Chambo as a very important player for us when we play sturt, he gives us that loose man in defence
Matty Wade is a star and deserves more respect from the forum family!
